Skip to 5:33 and Find out how path of exile subreddit on reddit banned, shadow banned,or muted me

"
Preface: Look, I am not saying the Path of Exile sub-reddit isn't moderated by knuckle draggers, but that is going a bit far.

Response: Reddit is a privately held company, your ability to post there is predicated on whether some Moderator wants to let you post there. The actual problem is that Path of Exile, like most game sub-reddits are heavily influenced by the people who run the game itself. So if you post negative things on that sub-reddit, a boot licker will remove it on the request of someone at GGG.

Now you have to understand GGG's side of it. They can not let negativity completely infiltrate the mediums they control. They are a business and have PR they need to up-hold to try to keep sales up. So if you piss them off, you will get nailed, I mean look at ParrotOfMath (or what ever his name is) and how he got treated for talking smack about Chris Wilson in a largely public area.

TLDR: You do not have free speech when it comes to privately held companies.

thank you for making sense!!!
It sucks really bad. I'm missing out of 500k viewers from not being able to post on the path of exile subreddit.

The thing that really gets me upset is just how badly they didn't know about anything in the game.
why do you even care so much? are you trying to make money off the views? in that case just stream on twitch

Nobody who has actually read the amendment would think this.

Anyway. Have fun with this.

The First Amendment provides several rights protections: to express ideas through speech and the press

I have no clue what you are talking about

PS.. I'm not having fun at all

That is not how the first amendment works, at all. One, it is in regards to what the government cannot suppress your right to free speech, etc. Why do you think Twitter, Facebook, etc. have been able to remove and ban users for all these years. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with what a private company can do. A private company doesn't have to let you post or say anything on their platform. Second, the first amendment certainly does not govern the entire world. Moderators and posters are from all over, not just from one country.

Based on their rules, it seems you broke the rules. Even then, if they want, they can just ban you and be done with it. If you are going to use things like first amendment, at least research and understand it first.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

You were given criticism of your builds, and treated the critics as though they knew nothing about your build/the game.

What's wrong with my build smarty pants ?

I generally avoid criticizing builds because I'm bad at designing them myself, and because I acknowledge that I don't have a deep understanding of all the game's moving parts.

If you really want criticism from me, personally, even though I'm bad at making builds...

Putting the "Summon Raging Spirit" count to 22 in inflating the DPS since you're using (Awakened) Unleash Support. PoB isn't counting the "Supported Skills deal less Damage when Reoccuring" itself, so you should factor that into the "Count" you input. This is also true for "Summon Skeletons".

The count should be more like 16 for Summon Raging Spirit, and 7 for Summon Skeletons. So, your DPS should be 15% less than what you're showing, just from this.

Also, is the benefit from socketing "The Anima Stone" really worthwhile over other potential options?

Meaning, it wasn't a human moderator's active decision to remove your post after it went up, it was removed by an automated system.

The mod even said he removed it. Omg..

My bad then, this thread about being "banned, shadow banned, or muted" was about what happened to the second thread you started on the PoE subreddit.

The first thread, made by an account less than a day old, showcasing a build via youtube and thus advertising their youtube channel...that prior to making this thread, had only posted a similar build on the PoE Builds subreddit that was removed for the thread violating one rule and your behavior violating another...

Looking closer, the rule recommends to "follow the 10/1 rule across reddit", not "on this subreddit". Yes, that and the "no more than two self-promotion posts in a week" are only guidelines, but it also says below that "these rules can be flexible". Flexible doesn't only mean "lenient", and by interpretting this 'recommendation' strictly, you certainly violated the rule against self-promotion/using the subreddit as a platform to advertise your youtube channel.

I'm not sure. I think PoB takes that in account when doing full dps.
Obviously OP is wrong but there are other people who are allowed to continuously skirt the promotion policy and never get punished or restricted for it. Constant links to mirror services and "bro my website will help you be good so it isn't advertisement" and the mods let it happen. Of course they post on cooldown like clockwork every time.

There are other people who have been posting "just took a 3-mod synth base and threw a few beasts [editor's note: hundreds] at it and I don't know what to do with it tee hee" who are clearly trying to advertise it for sale or price check it. Haven't seen many lately so they're doing a better job at keeping it clean.

Minion + poison builds feel like 1/5th to 1/10th of their "actual" DPS which is why they are so maligned. They feel awful to play so it's hard to ever call them "good" even if you hit the DoT cap in 10 seconds.

They must have just changed it. It wasn't like that when i copied and pasted in this post.

Removing the " The Anima Stone " would make the build lose around 1.3mil full dps and a Chaos Golem.
