Divine altar garbage false hope
If you think Eater influence is bad, try Maven

" Maven is not so bad if you run her only on guardian/conqueror maps, which basically gives several crescent splinters per 4 maps, not 1 splinter per 10 maps. In total, you'd get boss fragments, chance for a good influenced crafting base, elevated sextants, awakened gems, and occasional dominance orbs / watcher's eyes. |

Yeah but I was talking about running her in basic maps.
She needs help or GGG may remove her at all from basic maps and have her auto appear on the guardian maps/breaches/whatever. The only thing she does is makes me mad when I once again forgot to activate her when running a breach or guardian/ES map. |

They tried to give Maven some use on basic maps by adding a small chance to drop woke gems from these encounters but the chance is not small, it's actually vanishingly small. I tested it - ran 250 maps with Maven and got 0 gems. I wanted to continue this until I'll get at least 1 but gave up, this was sacrificing too much currency to keep going.
It's already quite annoying to run this as you have to alternate between 10 maps - that is quite a lot, you generally favor a few but not 10. You really don't want long phased act boss maps in there and with maven strat this is hard to avoid. Altars themselves were buffed along Maven too and this alter buff was immediately noticeable, you didn't had to run an ungodly number of maps to notice your awakened gem drop. Put on Exarch altar early in the league and get rich, it's simple. Then once you switch to MF go with Eater where you can spam-run maps very quickly and get that divine orb altar in a reasonable time. Idk, maybe an option to make this 10-boss invitation level 85, with uber rules and drop much more splinters etc? A fledgling uber boss fight - you fight beefed up map bosses that aren't necessarily uber pinnacle bosses but are still quite strong and thus rewarding? |
