Divine altar garbage false hope

funny thing is to see several steamers getting multiple divines at the start of the league from said altar. Either it;s been nerfed or there is something really fishy going on with drop rates for certain people

No, it's just that you do not understand how to properly do statistical analysis.

It should be common sense that more players playing more hours on more days is going to lead to more instances of something unlikely occurring. Mirrors of Kalandra were also dropping more in the first few days, even though their drop rate hasn't changed.

Streamers, especially at league start, were playing 16+ hours per day and running maps very efficiently. The sample size of "maps being run" that these clips came from was extremely large - far larger than the number of maps any one player will run in the course of an entire league.

And I shouldn't have to explain this, but finding a divine altar is going to make a highlight reel. For a lot of the streamers running Eater, getting those "OMG!" moments for said highlight reel is the entire purpose of running Eater in the first place: it gets you clicks, it gets you views, it gets you upvotes on Reddit, etc.
if only they actually remove all sorts of loot goblin in this game and go back pre 3.18 levels..
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words.

poe0.2/10. Nuff said.
And what was so special about pre-3.18 levels? As far as I remember the game has always been about farming league mechanics. Nobody in their right mind just kills map mobs and expect currency to drop at their feet. This was the case before, it is the case now.

They reduced loot multipliers a bit too much heading into 3.19 but they quickly restored them back to what they used to be for normal players. If you leaguestarted Lake of Kalandra then yeah, you might have noticed maps being quite dry in terms of loot, you had to complete like 50 to start seeing some drops from a league mechanic you decided to juice. And Lake itself was dogshit too.

Today we are back to maps being loot clusterfucks, if you run an endgame map with moderate juice you HAVE to use a loot filter set to very high strictness. It's not uncommon to see dozens of uniques, div cards and whatnot to drop in a single map. I have as much bubble currency as always if not more.

What was nerfed severely was the Bobby Kotick world of POE. The extreme high end with players juicing it to absolute max and playing with 6-player groups.
Pretty much. The game drops look like its candy.
I've gotten the altar a couple of times eater isn't that bad. It also gives scouring orb chance and gilded scarab chance. Some maps I walk away with 20-30 gilded scarabs along with currency and gem div cards like the sepherot and brothers stash.

Well, my personal exp is farming defiled cath and crimsom temp, i actually managed to complete a full set of seven y of bad luck before the altar spawned a brother stash(no sephirot)

Gilded scarabs drop from exarch aswell so no edge there. If you don't get your divine altar cash out you basicly lost dozens of divines over the long run by not running searing exarch for chaos/sextants...

And it looks like you can easily miss out on a divine altar...

On paper, EoW is better for people who are rushing sanctums: if you did not find the divines altar until map boss, go next.

But considering the invitations prices, probably you're better with Exarch anyway. Since everyone runs EoW, Screaming invitations are cheaper then Incandescent ones.
