Unfollow every PoE streamer except one.

I know this can be challenging, but I'm sure you've heard how more workers are waking up to stand against corporations and forming unions. Currently, the PoE streamers are competing against each other, while promoting each other among their shared pool of followers. Recently, twitch increased their ads significantly, which made non subs as valuable as the subs.

The top 7-8 (especially top 3-4) PoE streamers have a lot of voting power of the direction/development of this product, and they're also sponsored by GGG to keep streaming their game. If I asked the community who is/are currently the best players in Sanctum so far nobody would have the answer, because there is no more ladder that accurately displays this, which is why my retention of around 10 days is justified.

Ruthless mode? It's a failure, because again it fails to demonstrate who are currently the best players in Path of Exile. PoE in its current state it's officially a single player game, where I kill mobs, loot their items to kill the next mobs, and how many other single player games exist like this?

I would like to say some good/nice things about Sanctum, but there's few. Needed nerfs/fixes that carried streamers as well as the portion of the community are always a good sign, because they allow players to separate further from the masses, which makes the game overall in a better state in terms of competition, but it's clearly not in GGG interest to design a product that can be seen as something more than just another generic, single player game.

At least the backlash from the last Gauntlet demonstrates my market still has some influence, even if our numbers continue to deteriorate while the product remains in the current state. It didn't surprise me why the past Gauntlets couldn't get a bigger prize than $10,000, and GGG's statement "we won't nerf" skills if aren't used as much outside the Gauntlet, but completely destroy the only event for the PoE community.

Why would I listen/watch a streamer who's OK for the game to be in the current state, and almost if not all established streamers are selling this concept that Sanctum is a "good/fun" experience. Here are the signs of such streamers, and I'll explain why.

They are playing the game:

1) In softcore mode
2) In easy mode (no Gauntlet difficulty)
3) Trade mode
4) Using a six link
5) Build enabling unique
6) Often meta skill/build that's likely to get nerfed or banned in the event.

Within 4-5 days in the Gauntlet all of those things above won't be available to most, and none of them have even displayed an interest to make their own small private league and simulate the Gauntlet experience, which is best to see both an accurate info on how your experience will be, as well as display their knowledge/skill related to the game. If it's fun for many to watch a streamer endlessly farm maps in easy mode with 6L, uniques, etc. chasing another unique farming it for weeks, great.

The most important part why you should follow only one PoE streamer, it's because the rest will have to follow that streamer example to gain your attention, unless you are like that guy Quin69, where most of his audience will watch him no matter what he does or plays. Despite how difficult is for me to say this, currently Zizaran is that one PoE streamer I would follow.

Let the other streamers figure among themselves why their views are dropping, how they should unionize (work as a team/group or alone) to deliver a better event than Zizaran, or work alongside him to make the Gauntlet happen more frequently, or become more rewarding for you to participate in. Not allowing your twitch to run during their ads it's the best way to send a message that they aren't doing what they are in the position to do, something that's in your interest. Most won't get the memo, but there will be another Zizaran out there sooner or later.

Before the Gauntlet exist we had no events happening, and most here know what or who contributed the most for the change. Darkee/Ben it's also a great example of a PoE player who's benefited from his newfound glory, but still I wouldn't recommend for most to take gaming as extreme as he does, because it does come at a heavy cost that he will start feeling 10-15 years now.

Sooner or later PoE will again become an "ONLINE" ARPG. I understand removing Delve from the ladder since GGG completely ignored to fix it after the November Endless Delve event showed how broken detonate dead is there, because it doesn't work like in rest of the game, but also remove the uber boss kill count ladder race? The race to 100 has come to a point where it's a complete joke, because it is in easy mode with skills/ascendancies that's been buffed/introduced over the last 1-2 years, especially after the introduction to the atlas tree, the buffed passive skill tree, and the buffed evasion/armor auras/defenses.

Stop watching all streamers except one, their ad revenue will drop and then they'll wonder why that's happening, but more importantly why there's one streamers out there who's getting so many more views, and they will get the memo, and either adapt or disappear, which will only be a great opportunity for other players to start their twitch career.

Zizaran needs your support, because yes despite doing a poor job, eventually he gets the memo (gets the message) and now talking about banning skills. At least he is doing something, because like it or not he is the best of what we currently have, everything else doesn't worth a single mention, because they haven't come close to doing anything similar to what he's done so far. Adding bounties from their viewers to the overall Gauntlet prize pool is not enough, especially now after I mentioned how much more revenue they gain from ads.

Any PoE streamer who's averaging more than 1k views on twitch, now it's your opportunity to step up.

Sorry to hear that you weren't rank 1 on Ruthless.
And that GGG still isn't paying you

I'm not sure calling for a very real detrimental impact to the lives of folks that choose to stream for a living is sending the right message.

I'm not a big fan of Twitch in general because I think it's bad for games, but thats a personal opinion, and I certainly wouldn't put out a call to harm others financially.

You have made a lot of poor posts in the past that are mostly self-indulgent, but wow you took a step here to make it really personal to the folks out there streaming PoE because they love the game.

Really missed the mark here big time Kopo. Let the market speak for itself. Plenty of good people streaming PoE beyond Ziz.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
I agree that streamers are ruining the game, but the rest of that wall of text of yours is just a rant from a frustrated player. Take some time off, and reset yourself.
man about to turn the world to salt with this post

Lot's of good content creators out there besides Ziz

Lolcohol does a lot of crafting videos
Fuzzy Duckzy does a lot of videos centered on on build, in particular, getting Tornado shot up and going
Grimro has a lot of videos about making currency
Ghazzy makes vidoes about minion builds
And there's others like Balormage and Plasteron that have content (plus others I am forgetting atm)

Now, if you notice, all these content creators fill a particular niche, and without them, players would lose a lot of helpful information.
