Objectively the worst league?
|
Again, entirely subjective, but this is the worst league mechanic I have experienced. I played Bestiary from day one and struggled with the different tiers of nets, and it was less tedious that sanctum has been so far. I will grant that I was a much newer player then, and that might have impacted my play experience. From the uninspired enemy design to the lackluster rewards to the irritating terrain feature that pulls you into the sanctum in the middle of moving/attacking, 3.20 has nothing to offer me as a player. Maybe if I played one of the approved builds or adopted an even more twitchy play style than I already have, I might enjoy it more.
At least the core game was greatly improved from 3.19, or this league would be unplayable (again, subjectively, for me). |

Easily my favourite league mechanic since heist league, and the core game feels in its best state since pre-expedition.
The fact that they haven't flip-flopped on the power of the league rewards by debating whether or not they will go core is, in my opinion, the best choice they have made in ages. Just straight up: Here's a bunch of compelling rewards that will spawn new build archetypes and ramp up player power, but come the end of the league they are gone; enjoy it while it lasts. I feel actually rewarded for running sanctum outside of the usual generic currency crap that gets tacked on to league mechanics (Which we still get by the way, plenty of raw divine drops in sanctum), each sanctified relic has a good chance of setting the cogs turning in my head on what build it could power up. I dropped a fire damage strength stacking relic the other day and it felt great despite having not the motivation to play a build like that in years. (I last played BLS in incursion league!) Not to mention I also feel like playing for longer has way more value to me as this is the only chance I get to make a build around these things, so it's not the usual "2 - 3 weeks and done" attitude I usually have to leagues. Absolutely brilliant, I hope they learn from how they made this league and carry on the same way going forward :) PS: A tip for people complaining that it takes a long time to gather rooms. Buy 60 maps in bulk for 180c, rush through them and proc eater / exarch influence (You don't need to kill the boss except on the final map, just kill a couple packs of monsters per map) and store the sanctum rooms. Have a weapon swap set up with movespeed weapons (Allure is good for this if you have the int, otherwise screaming eagle), phase run with increased duration + efficacy & haste for extra temporary speed (Turn off a damage aura for haste, you don't need damage, just speed). Takes 7 or 8 minutes to store a whole floor of sanctum rooms if you are going slowly, 5 or 6 if you are going fast. At the end of the 60 maps sell your two boss invitations for 400c then buy another 60 maps for 180c. Repeat. Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.

" i'm sure you did but not how you say you did...i copied your atlas tree and focused on the things you said and its not nearly as profitable as you made it out to be. no way you made 500 D with that |

Such a shame, and I just posted a fresh Soul Taker I got from Ritual.

" Funny enough ritual has nothing to do with the league mechanic. |

" He got me too. Bait or cursed seed? Gutting Gameplay Gradually
|
|
" Things can and are still getting worse league's wise. Normal game seems better though. |
