Objectively the worst league?

Those of my friends that still play actually all switched to standard league. No one in my group of friends can stand the mechanic.

They should practice more, and get a little better at it.

That's the easy, cheap response. I can faceroll the Sanctum with my Bane Scion, and it's still an incredibly boring experience - regardless of loot.

So what's your favorite league mechanic then? Let me understand better what you don't like about the current one.

Delve. Yeah. Much like Abyss, non-existent and untradeable bosses that you'll see once per league. Anyone decreeing today's PoE for the "good old days" is on something.

This is truth. The game itself is ALOT better than it was a year ago even. Mapping is fun, the atlas pick what you want to do is amazing (would be better if it was per character), lots more currency it seems, on and on. The crafting in this game still blows old sweaty man underpants, and so does the leveling process every league. But all in all, it is leaps ahead of where it was.

This game is starting to get good, now if they could get rid of the fact the best gear is crafted, make crafting suck less like in harvest and come out with league mechanics that don't blow, I would 100% this game every league.

Isn't this VERY contradictory? I mean, in Harvest, we made 99% perfect items (and even some 100%) because "crafting sucked less". How could non-crafted gear ever compete with that? How could it ever be possible to balance loot and rewards around Harvest level crafting? The only way to have powerful crafting and powerful item drops, is to make crafting soul bound.

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Hmm, you could juice maps with currency that says "Prefix/Affix on drops are more likely to be Physical/Attack/Cannot be caster", and then others that say "Drops are more likely to be high tier".

In the current form you are probably right there is still too much RNG. But if you balance the 'more likely' then it could rival Harvest.

At this point I dont think they can fix PoE loot without things being soul bound.

TFT combines resources from many thousands of fairly extreme PoE players to make those perfect items. I think I calculated on your own you would only hit +Aug crit every 160 maps or something in the old system. And your first one rarely was correct. That doesnt feel imbalanced.

No matter what you do, I dont see how you have a remotely balanced game for non-TFT and TFT-like systems operating together.
TFT let you do however many you need if you have the currency with no breaks.

It means that we shouldn be using crafting to get us to the point where we can get the best gear that comes from drops and not have crafting as the entire end game for gear. Crafting should be a leg up, not the end goal.

Easy, have it drop at that level, and have less loot drop. Everything should drop ID'd and our loot filters should be able to filter out the crap we don't want. We should also have 90% less gear loot on the whole, no reason to hit alt and have stuff drops no one picks up anyways, it is just bloat trying to look like complexity.

Sounds good. I am all for the best items in the game being soul bound, it means RMT Joe from Mathil's stream who likes to wield his mighty credit card can never have better items than some like Mathil himself.

I don't think harvest should have ever been allowed out of it's league.
^ Chris did warn us they were ruining the game! ;)

Just looking at the steam charts and boy is this league not received well.

Looking at the graph it is immediately visible that the loss of players right after launch is exceptional. I haven't checked all leagues so far, but compared to the past 10 no other league has alienated so many players in such a short time. Never before have so many players quit on day 1 of the league. Although the graph doesn't show all the details obviously, I think it is safe to say that this is objectively the worst league mechanic of all times.

It is also interesting to see how much potential this game has. The amount of players returning to a new league is impressive, yet many soon get bored by the game and vanish, until the next league hits.

Im having more fun just running maps than sanctums... Maybe im noob
