Is drop-rate of guardian maps broken or tuned only for streamers?
I usually run a lot of maps and everything works great for me!

The whole streamer accounts are individually tuned for advertising purposes.
But it feels more like a scam, because they get much more drops and misslead you ,that you will get the same.. Very shady system by GGG |

Yes, and to solve this crisis of being a streamer game maybe the idea of leagues based on the time played per day/week/hour.

" i feel like you could make 3 endgame viable builds in solo self found by rolling and playing 3 characters. "everything in this game is balanced around streamers and people who have 50+ hr a week to play" im 1: presuming this is a serious statement and not meant to be a sort of ironic joke intended to mock itself, if it is then i am agreeing with you and just didnt realise you were being ironic. and then with the presumption its a serious statement 2: Im questioning that thinking. im proposing that the reason people think that is because 50 hours a week players have the most stuff. what im pointing out is that if they get to fight X boss 50 times in a week, and you get to fight the boss 5 times in a week, that doesnt mean the game is necessarily balanced around them. the devs might have decided the game balance they want is for people to fight the boss about 5 times per week, that means the game is balanced around YOU because you are the one whos experience of playing is matching the devs intended experience they are balancing the rates to achieve. the people who are fighting the boss 50 times are not getting the intended balance, the game is not balanced for them or around them, what they are doing is completely broken, imbalanced, not at all the intended player experience... but its their experience because they are killing 10x as many monsters per week as the people who the game is balanced around. i see this argument about the game being balanced around streamers all the time. theres people on streams killing the biggest bosses in 3 seconds while being completely invulnerable, people look at this and say well it takes me 10 minutes and i fail 50% of my attempts so this boss is balanced around streamers. no, its not, the devs do not intend a boss like this to die in 3 seconds, they intend it to take 10 minutes and for you to fail 50% of your runs. its balanced around mr average player. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

HENCE the post title ... DROP RATES ARE TUNED for STREAMERS, because you NEED to be doing 50h a week if you want to be dropping a sustainable amount of guardian maps/invitations and other things that GATE the end-game content, because the drop-rate is nowadays so low that the average casuals cannot sustain any amount of guardian maps due to NOT spending 50h per week! TADAAAAA :) So you telling us that the reason they have more stuff is because they have more time to engage with the game.... omfg, that's EXACTLY what this post was about... end-game bosses are GATED behind various guardian maps and maven invitations .... and those drop-rates are nowadays so so low that ONLY people who sink 50h+ into poe per week has a chance to sustain these items that are required to be doing the end-game content! Hence this "loot game" is tuned for people who has a crazy amount of hours to play per week. If the game was tuned around the average player, then these gated keys would drop far far more frequently and the streamers and ppl with 50h+ a week, would simply just be having an overflow of those items and selling them, which would bring their price down (you wouldn't be paying 50c+ for ONE invitation). You guys do realize that completing 100 of those maps is part of the "Big old grind" challenge this league - on par with getting a lvl100 char.
Since Kirac missions do count for this challenge, less natural drops are needed to complete it. And again: Its on par with getting to lvl100. That should give you a pretty good idea about the intended rarity. |
