Tier 1 Lava Lake boss totally ruined my will to play

i see you re still 4L at 85+ no way it s possible

first thing to do just after lvl 60+ area or map is CHAOS RECIPE

6L corrupted armor are very cheap. paid mine 10c !! stay away from tabula
why buying a 0 life and resistance the price of a 100+ life and 30+ res ???

buy a +1 cold skill gem corrupted amulet. paid mine 5c

use delve to taget jewerlry node to have rings and amulets for recipe

wait when you just leveled up to do weird bosses like this or crimson township and others you don t like. don t waste your xp bar

then you have a cheap power up to progress in maps

Stay out of Crimson Township as long as possible.

Burial Chambers ;)

Actually both Crimson Township and Burial Chambers bosses are well designed because you can just burst them down. Every boss with invulnerability phases should stay in the campaign. I shudder at the prospect of having to do a map like the Reef again. Sad that a good layout is the home of such a bad boss.
What? The T1 Lava Lake version of Kitava is actually weaker than the story version - at least with easy map mods.

Seems a bit of a weird choice to unnecessarily alch the map if you know the boss is irritating, you have trash gear and you're a self confessed "total scrub and casual" - could have just run it magic for the atlas progression and never gone back.
I think that's the best suggestion. When doing Lava Lake soon after finishing the storyline, make sure the map doesn't buff the map boss. Skip that map, at least for a while, if you have to.

Lava Lake was one of the things that helped me uninstall PoE for good. And no, not because I didn't beat it.

First off, the boss is way too hard for a T1. The boss is harder than some of the T10-16 bosses. That's just awful design.

Second off, you just played through 10 acts with the final boss being Kitava. Why would they pace the game to immediately put another one in the FIRST tier map bosses. Another immersion killing design flaw.

If these design flaws were on a T4, T5, etc boss, I'd 'understand' even though it would still be terrible design. However, the fact it's T1 and still designed this poorly tells you all you need to know about PoE's full design and late game systems. Horribly made. Easy uninstall later on for me.

The rares that spawn might end up being nastier than the boss and OP did run it yellow. I think they ran into some rng stuff there, but we'd need more details.

My 6.8k life 65 chaos res rf jugg got oneshotted by a rare three times in a row, something with touched, haste and extra chaos damage and probably the mob type. It did a little 'brrrr-pew' thing that does AoE that is probably supposed to be a decent propagated attack to dodge but the mods gave me like..0.1s response time. That's on a jugg whose HP stays above 98% health for like 50 maps a in a row.

Just saying there's still some wonky stuff. It's less, but still.

Good luck OP!
Did you try turning it off and on again?

You're right, of course. Didn't consider the rares. They can be a handful when you've just started mapping with mediocre (at best) gear.

Yea AN is still there the number of yellows I encounter that are 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000X harder than end game bosses.
