We need a name for "non-ruthless", i.e. the core game without the Ruthless ruleset

This is a crosspost from Reddit's POEruthless sub.

'Non-SSF' has an established name, 'trade'.

'Non-hardcore' is generally called softcore, or SC.

These names are useful when you want to confirm that you are talking about specific game modes, e.g. "Trade Only Build - Stasis Prison FR COC" or "Softcore Only Build - Wave of Conviction Ignite Elementalist"

I don't really like the 'softcore' name due to its elitist connotations (although it's not as bad as ScrubCore which I've also seen used).

Post 3.20, when you want to convey that you are talking exclusively about POE's standard item availability mode (i.e. the game without the Ruthless ruleset), how will you do it?

I'm going to initially suggest "Base" but I'm sure people will come up with better ideas. "Core" or "Core Items" came to mind first but the latter abbreviates to CI which is problematic, and Core is used in a lot of other POE contexts (hardcore, core map, Breach is a core mechanic, etc)

The Base suggestion would mean names like "Base SC League SSF" or "Ruthless HC Permanent Trade" etc. The league/permanent distinction doesn't really matter much in most contexts, so I'd expect it to be left out unless someone is talking about a build in a permanent league using legacy items.

Let's get some suggestions happening.

merciful
compassionate
gentle

casual mode.

Et - Ethical

Wait we are labelling non ruthless

S - Sane

Lubed.

Or maybe people should stop thinking that other modes are "superior" to others when the definition of fun is different from each player and calling it "softcore" it's a community issue..

When people use the word softcore for trade league you probably want to use macrocore for hardcore.

I still think Trade league is just fine. Oh and this "ruthless" hmm yeah I don't think I could actually type the actual meaning of it on this forums..

Just that it isn't really well suited for casual players... and also most "non-casual" players will probably play it rather than Ruthless.

Heh, if you say "casual league" this might bite you in the arse. Suppose you don't like it and decide to play normal PoE instead. "Hey, fella, why you playin casual mode now?"
