P2P & Cosmetic Items
" Which sounds to me like the only good solution (and since Kiwi's aren't tradeable at the moment) I'm not expecting them to be tradeable. To be honest, I'd be slightly dissappointed if stuff you could buy with real money would be tradeable. I'd prefer a "pure" game where the trading aspect is only ingame and not connected to RL at all. |

to be honest I wouldn't mind minor things like that it's a free game after all and they need to make a profit.
So far they have done a brilliant job and the idea that they are making a game this good which will be both free to play and not directly pay to win is amazing for me. If they allow trading of cosmetic goods I wouldn't care one bit since they will only be able to sell to the rich or for other cosmetic goods. If they do allow trading of cosmetic items I will be fine with that. At the very least cosmetic goods should be able to trade for other cosmetic goods. For me, it doesn't matter if the cosmetic items are tradeable or non-tradeable. As long as there is no stats in cosmetic items (or they wont give extra stats, which you cant get otherwise), I don't see them as p2w items. What comes about selling the cosmetic items for other people, well its none of my business what other people do with their in-game currency. It doesn't really bother me if someone buys an IM item from someone, as long as it wont give them advantage on stats.
As I see it, GGG has a very difficult decision to make. This is, how I see it, the situation which GGG has in hand, either break the promise and their planned business model to gain certain amount of more income due people buying multiple cosmetic items to sell them OR keep the promise and keep the loyal supporters and get a little less income from IM. I would like to point out also that if they keep the NO P2W- stance, that will bring a lot of free2play- players to atleast try the game and thus getting more publicity and that could also increase the income. However I am not expert on these things and things I have said are highly theorized. But I believe, GGG will make the right decision in the end. I have faith for them. |

I think my idea of 'power'
is a bit warped. My idea is that power comes from... you buy armor off an a cash shop that NO ONE else can get unless they have real money. --------------------- Guild wars 2 is using the same system. So we should read up on how it's going to work with them. Heres a video explaining the gw2 economy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx7o7CRoDXc Obviously PoE won't be as complex if they go with this system, but it helps.
