One thing I just cant understand are the one shots.

So just play dumb & enjoy it?? That's asinine. POE has the most min-maxing of any game I've ever played. It screams for a Death Log to facilitate builds. It wouldn't hurt anything, & GGG is lazy for not implementing one.

It actualy would do more harm then good. Do you imagine the amount of salt coming from players that die from dmg spikes be it curse, crit, multi proj, endu charges going out or any other reason?
There are no one shots you build right...like over 130K EHP in PoB

Glass cannons deserve to be one shot

Basically, we have been pigeon-holed into being one-shot as end game difficulty mechanic.

In other games, one shot mechanic is balanced out by drawback mechanics like wind up time, or speed (slow), or hp/glass cannon, or disable-able (stun, freeze). And POE used to have all these balancing out one-shotting. But of course because people min-max, instead of seeing things as natural interaction POE saw that as "abusing" those drawbacks, so they have nerfed them all into insignificance. Examples are stunlock, freezing, slow target, etc.

In doing so, they indirectly buffed one-shot by ridding it of its drawbacks. That and also power creeping. GGG is making too many new skills in my opinion and each more power creeping than previous. It's like every leauge there is at least 1 or 2 metas that are just above and beyond the rest. It creates a false sense of power creeping because we all know they are going to nerf it next leauge, while buffing monsters to match the power creep that does not exist anymore. It is a strange build up.

I could care less if other players are salty. That doesn't affect anything except forums & social media. If POE had a Death Log & you don't like the idea of it--then just don't use it.

The famous one shot boogyman is a pretty funny thing on these forums. Is there video evidence? Is there a detailed description of what actually happened? Afraid of it being completely obvious it was a player skill issue? Doesn't matter! Just claim that everyone everywhere is being constantly one shot and it was totally unavoidable.

Is this an out-of-season April Fool's joke?

If you've played PoE any substantial amount of time you know the game can and will present conditions that erase you before you can respond.

My own was my 79 zerker leaping onto a platform in a T4 map and immediately activating a dozen spark mages that then immediately destroyed him. Literal one keypress to leap into them and dead before the next action.

You AN fanboys cannot seem to comprehend the many ways these mods can present a one shot scenario.
the game would have to remove life leech in order to stop the 1 shotting design
Not sure death log will do but any information help I guess.

Last time I step to activate Branch and half second later I'm gut, on lv 68 difficulty 8 Lake. I guess... 3 ice golems thing kill me? yeah res cap and low end hp of 4k just gone in a flash. Not even split second to pop flask :v
Slow in, slow out cuz I'm just a player.

You dont but GGG must care. Also what would death log accomplish If even video recording is not enough? You also want to put additional task on a game that already has performance issues. Its just waste of time and resources.

So you leap directly into a pack of mobs and they turn around and cast you to death. You clearly hadn't prepared your character with the proper defenses. But yes, it was totally a one shot that you couldn't ever have avoided and therefore you aren't a bad player, the game is bad.
