Standard is officially for " Single Players ". Shuttle them there. League is for Party Players.

I've been playing this game, solo, since 1.0, and I enjoy both temporary challenge leagues and the permanent Standard league. Lots (perhaps the majority) of temp league players happily play solo. Lots of always-solo players only ever play temp leagues. There's nothing hypocritical about that.

And I also play Standard enough to know that there are plenty of group-players who regularly play in parties with their Guild mates. There's nothing hypocritical about that, either.

That said, i like to fool around with new league mechanic (which always slows me down through the campaign) SSF style, aspecially on this account. But sometimes i like to group with my son and friends, mostly in a new league but also in Std.

Play all leagues solo and have been playing standard a bit. A couple of weeks on and off - and made some friends and had party play (.5 fps at times though). So for me it's the other way around?

The standard community is more fun than I had expected. Less people but it's a tighter group overall I think. Also sold more stuff I thought I would.

The only time I play in a party is if it's with a real life friend of mine and that happens less than twice / year.

I only play leagues.

This game has the most social forums I've seen for any game ever with the reading knowledge needed just to understand this game is elite tier. Yet the most social game for reader's sake or writer's sake ever, is downplaying the needs of social expansion?

Are you saying that Challenge leagues are a lot more popular than Standard, and therefore if you want a lot of players around (so you can play in a party) then you should play Challenge league? And solo players would have a better time in Standard?

I kinda understand that. If I squint really hard.

But then your conclusions, that solo players should only play Standard (lest they be hypocrites) and party players should only play Challenge league, go off the rails.

There is plenty of reason for players to choose Challenge league if they want, regardless of solo vs. party considerations.
