Standard is officially for " Single Players ". Shuttle them there. League is for Party Players.

To generalize without minor reasons for why you play league over standard. Let me guess the main reason. Fresh start with people. Done. EZ.

So now all the people who boast about the single player experience are going to get shuttled over to Standard. If they like single player poe so much, they remain standard. Simple as that. Or else be quiet.

If this game is going to have 2 teams, well we have 2 leagues for these teams. Start over a league 1000 times & you'll still know that a fresh start with people overshadows the league mechanic itself. Overshadows a few new items added to the game.

League officially is the Multiplayer League " Party League ".

Standard is officially the dead end single player experience even tho its tech a longer lasting journey, it's still a less played avenue. Where you compare builds or socialize less. So standard is Flawless for single players. Yet they won't admit this or play standard, why, we know why. People to share builds nearby is why. & the expansions for sharing builds near party people are?

" Oh tho I need patch notes sooner than standard transition, that's why I play league " naw man, you don't. Go play another game & wait a few months, it's easy. So that's your excuse, for trying to act like you don't want to play with others? The 2 month wait? Just go sit at your standard hideout alone ye zoomer & tell me the majoirty doesn't favor the fresh reroll of people over your single player opinions.

Party league is league.
Standard is for solo.

go play the new league with tons of lvl 1's around town.

Then how about a league which goes more than just 3 months like 6 months or a full year? I have a fulltime Job and since Delirium I couldn’t enjoy any league mechanic anymore.

Maybe I should just switch to standard and suffer to be forever exiled in the mud. (HAH...)

or trade leagues without parting with others?

because of all the added bonusses and starting over fresh.

has nothing to do with parting nor playing solo or as a party.

lol it's amazing how certain some people can be about their opinions which are largely based on ignorance.

I've been playing this game, solo, since 1.0, and I enjoy both temporary challenge leagues and the permanent Standard league. Lots (perhaps the majority) of temp league players happily play solo. Lots of always-solo players only ever play temp leagues. There's nothing hypocritical about that.

And I also play Standard enough to know that there are plenty of group-players who regularly play in parties with their Guild mates. There's nothing hypocritical about that, either.

Well I don't know exactly what your saying other than you have a job & want to play league & not standard.

Also your saying " exiled with the mud " meaning you find the solo experience to be isolating. So that makes you a party player.

I actually returned to this thread after pondering the time season theory. & thus equates to the solo player wants generally or stereotypicaly wants to keep their hero forever, like the mmo player does. So really when someone says " well you keep your hero forever, for standard, that's more like a mmo theme. " well not really, single player games tranditionaly keep your hero forever too. So using " time " or " seasons " as a way to separate these 2 themes, doesn't really work.

Also I stated that I played WoW similar to how leagues roll anyways. From 2006 to 2010 or so till quitting Vanilla prior to BC. I use to quit every server & join the new ones Blizzard set forth. I'd like to play with a ton of new lvl 1 people per Vanilla WoW new server added. So that was like 20 new servers of 40 hero's below lvl 40 for most of them. As the game got boring after lvl 30 tbh. lvl 1 to 30 is best vanilla wow. After that was a slower duller grind. So fresh rereolls was where it was at. Yet that WAS a MMORPG & I played it similar to how POE plays new leagues.

Yes new Leagues are more Social making them the Party League. The less social league is Standard making that the Single player league. Party League is more popular. Single League is less popular or a ghost town.

& most jobs have enough time to split your week to 1/3rd pc gaming 1/3rd job & 1/3rd gym. Or 1/4th if you have fam. Per week of time. 105 hours. So you have time for at least 2 POE hero's per league, maybe 3. Past lvl 90.

You are still not the majority & the statistics aren't saying Standard is as popular as League is. So yes the majority based opinion is going to be said like a fact, unless you tell me at league launch day. When 100 lvl 1's are walking around, that right then & there that " standard league is popular enough for single players ".

The ratio at league or mid league would have to be half & half & I doubt its half & half. Standard League is a single player league, short & simple & yet its a ghosttown, telling GGG all they need to know about these 2 teams.
