Same 3 builds every Gauntlet how exciting

I wouldn't defend a spell that players keep at level 1, there are red flags for a problem and that is a very obvious one :p
exactly, its very known that people keep DD at level 1 and doing end game content, very huge red flags that have not been taked care off.

Rather than nerfing corpses shall make the % less at lower level so its not the same at level 1 and 21+, thats exactly that DD need as fix.
PoE skills are normalised for better or worse, the result is that every "busted" skill has access to a scaling vector that other skills don't have.

AFAIK there isn't a single outperforming skill that doesn't AoE overlap, corpse life, stack override or projectile stack, GGG are just pretty poor at balancing these they either get neutered because they notice early like blazing salvo or they remain OP forever. Very few are just "good"
Most people are not very competitive so winning the best rewards really isn't in the cards. The level based random draws leaves build diversity a lot more open. You just need to hit whatever level you intend to hit within a week. The week for most people is probably the bigger limiter (behind skill level of course).

So for that group, I think choosing something different and fun is in the cards.

I just finished my 40/40 so figured I would have some fun and maybe hit the 50 or 60 random draw. I decided to play SRS and I'm having fun. These things force mere mortals like me to slow down which makes me nostalgic for how the game used to be. Purposeful moves, creeping into rooms, thinking about the best way to handle a pack is fun to me. It will never compete in the insane zoom meta, but it is fun.

For top end, they will always choose the best thing. That's true in every multiplayer game that is competitive.
Thanks for all the fish!
SRS is very legit for gauntlet Nubatron it gets a bad stick but its one of the best skills for the hardest versions, they scale well, don't need much gear, you can cast around a corner and they clear nicely.

You won't win any races like you say but its got me into the 90 bracket everytime I've tried, I can't bring myself to commit to this one its just the wrong difficulty for me - its too easy for me to concentrate but too hard for me to survive while not concentrating.

That and the 90 bracket is gonna have ~500 instead of the usual <200
i find it hilarious that even after so many months draeg still dies by srs

i remember one time someone compiled a list of exotic builds in gauntlet that lasted into the 90s level, and his srs build was one of them

This is exactly my experience. I doze off, keep tanking stuff I shouldn't, default to my normal way of progressing and then die. Killed Kitava A5 and noticed I had 3 white gear pieces. I also ended up just trying stuff out, which is not like any other gauntlet (for me).
Did you try turning it off and on again?

Yeah, it's a good skill. No where near the glory days of old, but still quite usable. I haven't run into anything that felt like heavy resistance with it.

It's nice to see there are die hards for some of the less used skills. I wonder if Sexcalibure would still be pushing for Dominating Blow, or if the current version would have scratched their want/need for it to improve. That's the last time I remember someone pining hard for a specific skill.
Thanks for all the fish!
Agree with OP

How can you put even CoC Ice Spear in the same category ?

If you were knowledgeable you'd know that CoC Ice Spear needs 1000ex investment to feel really good.

Even at 600ex (including Mageblood) it kinda sucks, too squishy and not enough damage.

CoC is a currency dump, a fun and extensive way to invest all currency into a build, they are NO WAY NEAR overpowered compared to other things in the game...

Sigh.

I chuckled a little. Nice numbers pulled out of the ass.
