Why is Mathil able to do everything that is impossible according to most of the complains here?

So I told Mathil about this thread in his stream today and he took a look at it and even read the first posts and made some comments (he did a pause but then restarted and read some mored).
Here is the link to the moment when he enters the thread: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1512983734?t=02h31m40s EDIT: stream video is deleted and I didn't save a clip. Sadge. Last edited by FedeS#7818 on Sep 18, 2022, 12:54:11 PM

" I believe the word casually isn't used correctly. If you are playing video games regularly, you are no casual gamer. By definition. Playing casually means, you do not play regularly or on a schedule. Hardcore gamers include players whose leisure time is largely devoted to playing or following video games. A person who devotes a large portion of their time towards gaming and gaming variations. It doesn't depend on your attitude but what you do. Thus Mathil is a hardcore gamer not tryharding. " Time is not a payment? Ya it is not. It is still an expense. Let's say POE have the vast amount of grind then. And thus We shall call it Grind to Win (G2W). People don't like grindy games either. People forgotten that. People who like that think that is a desirable feature. The expectation from people that others need to clench their teeth and grind and those would not is unreconcilable. Thus it is a conflict between people who want changes and People who don't. Changing the game is as scary as watching a horror movie to some people methinks. WHAT IF GGG RUIN THIS GAME, while they are trying to fix it? But aren't they always doing that? Subjective of course. Don't touch it, GGG. Maybe it is a matter of what they touch? Guess I'm not the only one susceptible to a little ego massaging here and there. Heh.
Anyway... Psychic spies from China try to steal your grind's elation And streaming girls from Sweden dream of full screen obliteration And if you want these kind of dreams it's Mathilification It's the edge of the world and all of Wraeclast civilization The droprate may rise in the East at least it's settled in a fine location It's understood that GGG sells Mathilification Charan's Law: one's level of sincere and fruitful engagement with any given thread is in direct inverse proportion with how deeply one leans into pop culture references and parodies. "P2W games are often structured around the monetization model to be more important than the actual time investment, and will either straight up not let you play the game or make grinding only result in very minimal gains. In all, this all feels like a strange way of labeling the act of playing the game more as P2W when that term very strongly implies using money to gain an advantage, especially when one is paying money to gain an advantage over players that are still using a time expense and grinding out the game for fewer gains than those that pay. |

" hahahahahahahahaha first 5 seconds into the thread: "mathil is a casual" - yep he says it like it was obvious (hint: it is obvious he is a casual), i cant wait for ppl to start writing research papers with 6 different calculus equations explaining why hes not |

" Wrong again. Mathil agrees that he plays casually not that he is a casual. Also Mathil: Not that I have an ego or anything, but I feel that I'm a bit special at this game without a lot of meta defining shit. And it is not easy to do in thousands and thousands of people making builds. But whatever. Gutting Gameplay Gradually

Again, I'd like to point out that there are absolutely people out there who consider themselves casual users of meth.
And compared to their buddy with no teeth and a heartrate that never dips below 140bpm, maybe they are! But to the vast majority of the world, they're just fucking kidding themselves. __ 8 out of 10 cats agree that drinking Mathilated Spirits makes you 150% better at PoE, and much more popular with whomever you wish to be more popular. Mathilated Spirits: for when you want to be awesome...casually. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. " " Claiming that a well-known streamer is casual when the widely accepted definition of a casual gamer is the effective opposite of a person who streams gameplay consistently is silly. We get that you want to downplay his knowledge and ability and whatever else. Just because he knows better than to be overly obsessed with virtual wealth doesn't make him "casual". As you pointed out, you yourself know that there really are "impossible" builds to reproduce because the interaction that enabled their function has been removed or changed. That's a lot different from under-powered and impractical, which is entirely true as not everyone plays the same or is efficient enough etc. Atm one of the most fun builds I have in standard is a CoC cylone low life - while it still has plenty of room for improvement, scaling up the damage to where I would really need it is cost prohibitive. Given PoE's track record on nerfs, investing a ton on anything is a huge gamble. Knowledge is a major factor, but its not the only one. If I played as efficiently as I could I'd potentially make a lot more - but the reality is I just end up getting bored quickly and move onto something else. At the end of the day (or night) what matters is whether or not you enjoyed it. Yep, totally over league play.
