Is it possible to improve this RF build within a 10ex budget?
the 3 mod scepter above, i would just craft 'fire dot multi' and be done with
you can always find another void/opal, and try for better. but just having +1 and 2 sources of dot multi is a very good start. hell, thats basically what i have, and it got me to level 98. killed shaper, elder, sirus with my weapon. |

I will stick with just the stacked Fire dot multi for not on the sceptre, since I blew all my pure exalts on a new shield today :D But I will definitely keep in mind this crafting method, so I can make myself a better sceptre when I have some more currency! I updated the gem links and added in Glancing blows, since my new shield has %life on block. https://pastebin.com/07uPXJXL Are there any good unique flasks for RF besides Bottled Faith? It's a bit over my price range right now, so I'll have to work towards it a bit later. Also, is the granite flask I'm using a decent choice? I could put on a taste of hate instead of that. On the topic of spells, do you guys think there is room in this build to add Molten shell? I didn't leave enough room for it right now. I guess I can swap it in for Vaal Lightning trap, if I have enough damage and not enough survivability. But It feels bad to take off shock from the table. Maybe I should sacrifice one of the Flame wall support gems in order to keep VLT in the build? |

" Which awakened gems do you think I should get and I will also be able to use when I get a 6 or 7 link helmet for the RF spell? I have a hard time figuring out which helmet mods I should look out for, since most of the good combinations seem to be 25ex+ which is out of my reach. So in tandem with that I'm not really sure which awakened gems are worth buying in the long term. I also saw that Pohx is advocating a new support gem called "life tap" or something like that, because it gives RF the duration tag and then plugging in Awakened Swift Affliction because it has a good More multiplier. Would you say that's a good route to go with? |

Herald of Ash says that it gives 42% more burning damage, but when I turn it off in-game my Righteous Fire tooltip doesn't change at all. Is the RF tooltip bugged or is something else causing problems? On another subject, I currently Don't have enough Dex Or enough Int to use Fire Trap or Flame Wall. At the same time I managed to get a 6+ link helmet for my RF, so now I have 6 sockets in my chest that aren't really used for anything good right now. Is there any defensive combo or a totem skill that is worth using in a 4-5-6 link that you guys could recommend? Mainly until I get more stats from somewhere. How the heck is Herald of Ash not a character buff? It displays right next to purity of fire and tempest shield and all the other buffs. I really don't understand this game sometimes...
I did read through the PM you've sent me. I must say, thank you very much for taking the time to check out my build and give me information and tips in order to try and improve it! I apprecite it very much and wish you all the best in return! I got myself a simple sulphur flask to boost my damage, a new helmet that gives a lot more damage to RF and a new ring that gives a lot of fire damage. This helped a lot with damage and I will keep looking for another better ring like you suggested! I also swapped one of my healing flasks for a Taste of Hate, so I can have more damage reduction. I'm also looking forward to buying a Watcher's eye jewel that gives Damage over time multi with malevolence, Bottled faith flask or maybe awakened elemental focus in order to improve the damage even more. After that I may try to make a better sceptre and maybe run a few labyrinths in order to get some useful enchant on my helmet. I'm still using the unique jewel in my char, because I can't find a good budget jewel with three or four stats. I'm keeping an eye on those and will try to replace t he unique with a rare jewel in the future. Which mods do you suggest me to look for? I set up a search with %life and 2 or 3 damage mods like "damage over time multi", "fire damage over time multi", "fire damage", "area damage", "burning damage", "damage over time", "damage", "to all elemental resistances". I did put Molten shell in my sceptre and I'm using it constantly, so that helps a bit with survivability. On this build, I can't remove the cluster jewel, because I need "Fan the Flames" notable to proliferate my ignites. It works super well against packs of monsters and makes RF much more fun to play than a regular version. I also use Herald of Ash in this, because it gives extra fire damage to hits and a super nice looking explosion when the mobs die. I can swap the herald with anything else for boss fights, where I don't need the extra AoE. I don't understand how Shield Charge is supposed to be good with this build. I have almost 0% increased attack speed, so shield charge is super slow for this character. I don't like Flame dash, but it is a bit faster it seems to me. I have a problem with stats right now and I can't get Fire trap or Flame wall in my chest, because I don't have enough stats for them :/ Maybe I'll find a way to fix this later on. RF is burning damage but it is NOT an ignite. fan the flames does not spread RF to other mobs. if you're using it to spread the ignite from wave of conviction, its really not worth it.
molten shell and steelskin are both guard skills (you have steelskin in your chest, cwdt style). they SHARE a cooldown. when either gets used, the other goes on cooldown. pick one, throw the other away. (this doesnt apply to the vaal version of molten shell, but you dont have vaal ms) what some people do with RF, when they get a 6link helm, is just say 'fuck it' and wear |

I know that RF doesn't ignite. The ignite that gets spread is the one from my chest's explosion mod. I have 90% phys to fire, then we add extra phys damage as fire damage, then (I think) this scales with my fire and elemental damage and I have 100% chance to ignite from my tree.

The Automaton MTX for Herald of Ash makes it look better than the original effects, so that is also part of the build :D Ye, thx for the tip for Kaom's Heart! I have one with a corrupted mod in my stash. Luckily I don't depend on my chest for resistances, so I can sawp them whenever I'm facing a big boss for some damage and survivability. Would there be any other kind of unique body armour that could be even better than Kaom for defense or offense? Thank you for telling me this about Molten Shell and Steelskin! It does not apply to damage over time from spells without this modifier, such as Righteous Fire. More Burning Damage: Unlike the more Spell Fire Damage, the more Burning Damage is not global.
