I know it's hard, used to be like you, actually it used to be harder...I used to beg for like people to cut the price to a 15 chaos tabula, or a 5 chaos rats nest.
But with time I got the knowledge to just play efficient. First of all you need to understand that poe rewards time in game. You play a lot, you get a lot. If you are like me , with a family and personal life ( I have still managed to build 3 chars this league and I am closing to a mirror with 6/9 house of mirrors on me right now)...Since I am not a streamer that's the best I can do in one month playing casually. But you need to play efficient. If you don't invest in your maps, you will have to spend more time reaching more currency. Take 2 ex - get some scarabs ( whatever you want , they will still net a lot of profit) , use sextants , bulk your maps, follow a strategy and farm quick and efficient. You will see the difference. Back in the days I used to ask around people , the same question as you did...And I was saving scarabs sextants and sacrifice fragments but never really used them for some reason ( I didn't sell them either so) Lots of time == lot's of currency. Low time investment but efficient play == a lot of currency, not at streamer levels. Low time investment and inefficient play == posts like this. All I really did was give 2ex worth of currency to people who chose to sell those scarabs or sextants or delirium orbs instead of do what you suggested, and given the resulting loss I came away with, I don't blame them for it. |

" You don't need 10h/day. What you need is to have a good plan, stick to the plan and have a bit of luck as well. I play 2-3h on workdays, and up to 6-8 during weekends, mostly just farming and selling stuff (legions, elders, logbooks, etc., I like to rotate and keep it fresh). This league I had Headhunter, then a mageblood and also some cheaper gear to equip my characters. It just takes patience, a lot of patience.. :) Out of the stuff I did, logbook farming and Tujen haggling was netting by far the most ex/hour (up to 10ex/h without lucky drops), also elder sets + invitation every 4maps was also giving nice currency, but that much as logbooks. You simply invest 10-20ex (into map sets, rusted/polished scarabs, compasses, logbooks, ...) and later get like 30-40ex back, and just cycle cycle cycle.. :) ofc never ever use gilded/winged scarabs (unless you are super endgame minmaxing). Rusted/polish to force mechanics always returns their value and gives good profit. So some hardcore chad playing 10h/day just farming logbooks/Haggling for 60h would gather that 550ex in a week. But that would be very boring and would feel like a work. And as you can see from my main character (lvl97 Killeriuxx trapper) in Sentinel - his gear is quite basic, in 10-15ex range, so you don't even need a giga mirror tier characters to farm mageblood/HH.
