Using a build I extremly dislike as a "league starter" to get to what build I actually want to play?

I'm on a trip today but I'll send you a PM as soon as I get to it. That being said, I'm very flexible on strategies and I don't do the same every league, I swap it up to keep it fresh.

But I'll do my best to guide you through the thought process and the cornerstones in hoping that you'll be able to pick and choose whatever you like and be as flexible as well.
