Wealth mobs
Completely agree. I've only seen one of them and have been playing for around 2-10 hours every day since just after it became open beta. The one I did see then dropped a unique belt and I think one or two rares. So the loot was okay.
The mod could be so much more common. Not as often as large chests (which aren't even that common), but still frequent enough to know that you are even around. Then make the drops not as good to even it out. I would be fine with that. That's just my opinion. IGN: SelocYnnad

I think they're more common than people think, the only problem is that sometimes the amount of loot they drop is unnoticeable. Especially on rare mobs.

" rofl. Then why do they advertise it as very rare? :P They are rare, very rare. And drop shit. (guy who got a unique belt, you're the first person I've ever heard that got a unique on a wealth mob) IGN: TimeForSpectralThrow / iLikeShockNova

" Well I've seen at least 30 packs before. Look at every mod on mobs you fight, you'll see it more often than you'd think See you, Space Cowboy...

" It was the Wurm's Molt belt. Not the best, but still. Better than more rares which just end up getting sold to the vendor. IGN: SelocYnnad

I encountered one set of wealth magic monsters in my total time playing open beta (two 82 characters, a 78 character, and assorted lower level characters). Sadly that one set was on docks, not in a map. Each of the ~6 magic monsters dropped one yellow, and a handful of blues. None of the items were good.
Still it was neat to see. I don't see any reason to get rid of them. They're not hurting anything. |

I have never knowingly encountered one before. I could have killed one and just scooped the loot without knowing. They need to give those mobs a tophat and cane to distinguish them.
But seeing how little loot they drop, it's not surprising people just aren't noticing. All the things I want to remember are in the places I'd like to forget.

" i'm not sure making them easy to spot is the right approach. if they did this then I can't imagine GGG ever buffing the quality of items they drop by much as this will just become the next thing thats farmed endlessly. I like the idea they are normal looking, but would support some kind of better items dropping or some other thing that makes them interesting and non-game/economy breaking. like.. what if they drop slightly rarer loot, and also drop a lore or treasure map fragment (with different coloured label text). would be cool to piece these together to create an endgame map like vaults or something. * they could drop a gold coin :) Last edited by ualac#0162 on Apr 11, 2013, 7:30:20 PM
