Feedback and Suggestions (Path of Exile 1) - Unique bosses do NOT take ele damage... - Forum

I'm doing like 30m DPS without anything up or flasks or anything..... I double curse, expose, and remove well over -90res+ from bosses.... Yet I can barely tickle them. Why the absolute fuck is Shaper with Maven a 10 minute fight???? with my DPS I should be melting each phase in about 10 seconds or less....... but they just don't take ele damage anymore Last bumped on Jun 1, 2022, 12:14:49 AM This thread has been automatically archived. I don't think you're doing nearly as much damage as you think you are. For starters, you're missing two additional totems. I know that when I started EA I had no idea I was missing one of the two, but you're missing both. minion increases dont do anything for totems/ballistas last I checked EA is all about getting a solid stack count to explode for burn and with two fewer totems I'm pretty sure you're well below that 30mil I didn't use an ashes as I could feel the difference taking the 24% damage over time multiplier from my ammmy slot No malevolence so that's another potential multiplier not in use. From what I checked Shaper is taunt immune so everything you rely on for taunt (extra damage, acc) goes away against him, and accuracy is a big deal for stacking flares for the big boom burn. Not sure what you're using the flame surge for since its locked at level one but you dont want any fire damage at all so that the regular hits setup fire exposure. Not sure if the fire exposure on hit from the gloves might be causing an issue as well given how EE works. But more than anything at least add in one more of the totems. This is NOT my first time playing EA -- last league I used this to clear 100% content. The way Ziz explained Flame Surge is it's overwritten right away by the other elemental damage. Something to do with it being a trigger or w/e, i'm not watching last leagues 30 minute video to find the clip though sorry. I have 6 totems.... how am I missing any? You know... maybe the resistance change here makes flame surge not be beneficial anymore. Last league we were assured it didn't break EE. Maybe now it does with the archnem changes? idk, only my second time running a streamer build, and last league it was flawless. When I originally looked I don't believe ancestral bond was allocated. I'm literally running almost exactly the same stuff that I ran in Archnem on the EA that she did in league and just a slightly altered tree. Unless something changed in the last few "fix" patches for sentinel, she should be as effective as she was. But yeah there are a few key differences between my EA elementalist vs an EA Champ. I can get all hits to ignite and shock where champ relies heavily on that taunt (and not everything can be taunted). Btw I used my EA to clear most of the content too -- she did elderslayers, feared, maven,etc etc but I still didn't risk her in something like chayula pure, a bit too slow. And the whole point of reviewing is making sure there isn't something you missed on your end making for such a struggle. I remember my first maven shaper being hectic, but not quite 10 min, with the longest parts being the phases starting from him going immune and teleporting me out and having to slog back. LOL If this is what I think it is Stop using Divergent EA, build fixed Real answer: You are using Divergent EA for more fuses but due to Ashes you are reducing fuse duration to 0.06s, as a result you aren't doing a fat 24 fuses stack you are doing single stacks very quickly. You probably get stacks up to 6 depending on totem sync and placement time which gives you around a 500k Ignite but a long way short of what you will get without Divergent. Also Bosses aren't taunt immune they just ignore it, Those champion nodes would be completely worthless if any bosses were actually taunt immune so don't worry about that part.
