Uh this is one of those "look in the mirror" situations

I mentaly survived flask changes and past fails, but this now is too much. Wait 1-1,5 month for a new league, hear announcement for no nerfs and this joke to happen? Chris is trolling really hard. And now we will hear again next league this, next league that. Recently we hear to often "next league".
GGG is the real poe killer and especially Chris with his stupid ideas.

At least in lost ark everything is 'viable' and nothing is bricked buildwise, unlike poe. Chaos dungeon is braindead easy but I dont care because the gameplay is smooth and not jank and dated like alot of PoE 'builds' are.

I dont need a dozen open browser tabs, a wiki etc to play LA.

Lost ark and other arpg will always nip away at PoE's numbers because GGG will forever die on its hill of not giving us better UI, no limited auto loot pickup for even the small stuff like scrolls and basic currencies.

Honestly my ideal game is some mix of LA and older PoE, I simple 'settle' for PoE for a few days every few months when its not pissing me off at the stupid things they put in the game.

PoE looks like it's actually dying this time, on top of Steam stats, it's day 3 and most ''hype viewers'' already left on Twitch, and have in mind that Quin is still playing, when he leaves it'll be totally dead. I can't really remember a league this dead on day 3.

But tbh i don't think it's totally Lost Ark's fault, it has an impact for sure, but it's not really the main reason. Imo they are both pretty boring right now.

My experience with this league has been really weird. Like every league start i had my initial burst of hype and i ended up playing for hours, but this time i got bored even before maps, the next day i logged in, tried to play for like 20min and i just couldnt, and today i didn't even play for 10min. There's no new skills, league mechanic is very unimpressive, i don't know, it's just so boring.

Tbh this happened the last few leagues as well, i don't get this addictive feeling that i used to get anymore, but i still ended up leveling a few characters to 70-80 before i got bored.
Last league i ended up thinking that maybe i was burned out, so i took a long break, and at first i was actually excited to try this league, but it got really boring faster than ever.

If you're thinking ''maybe PoE is not for you'', ''just move on'', etc... keep in mind that this is comming from a guy that used to play D2, D3, PoE and other ARPG's for 12-16 hours a day, everyday. PoE is definitely my type of game, but i just can't enjoy it anymore, and it's so frustrating.

So yeah... imo it's not Lost Ark killing PoE, it's both games being really boring for totally different reasons. And the saddest part is this may not be fixable. Maybe with PoE2? i hope so, but my expectations aren't too high right now...

Whatever effect Lost Ark had on POE player numbers, Diablo Immortal will have more.
