this is exactly what poe looks like without its fresh "expansion" hype. if a game is this dead 2 out of 3 months and is only bumped up because of a fresh coat of paint, its not a good game. or in this case, the fresh coat of paint lasted a couple days and flatlined the second lost ark/elden ring came out.

people love to say the poe killers died out, yet at their lowest point ever, elden ring and lost ark has more players online than poe did at its absolute highest peak ever. so if these games are "dead", what does that make poe? never alive to begin with? 158k absolute highest peak is a joke compared to its "competition"

but PoE is a cyclical game GGG aren't in trouble until you see bad numbers on league launch because their earnings are massively front loaded, yes its dead for 2 months but in many ways thats by design.

Is it bad? Hard to say, there isn't any game i'll play all year round I can't even imagine what it'd be like to be so devoted :p, I played both LA and Arch Nemesis and kinda done with both tbh time for something new for a while.

Why are you saying this on a forum centered around a game that isn't Lost Ark? Isn't that a bit weird?

Why did this forum have people talk about Diablo 2 Ress? Maybe its that top down action rpg's have similar themes to talk about. Hmm go figure.

Ye New World isn't lasting 10 years, its barely lasting the 1st year.

At least POE has fun mobb fighting, I'd say its better than LA's. Lost Ark doesn't even have mobb exp, of course the mobb aspect of the game is worst. So really does Lost Ark have better boss mechanics than POE does? To justify, how you aren't able to lvl off mobs? Meh.

I played Dragons Nest Mobile, similar in every way to Lost Ark. Same model. Has pvp arena. Same lane tunnel maps. Now its a dead game, why? Whales is why. Whales make for dead games. Aka Black Desert.

Maybe POE is more underrated than Lost Ark is? Hype and all. I also play Planetside 2 & find that game underrated & better than Warzone. Yet PS2 has low pop too. The difference is; New World isn't underrated in any sense of the word. & if anything Lost Ark is overrated.

Also aren't the POE devs suppose to learn something from this Lost Ark hype or now falling playerbase. If anything now more people are interested in a top down game than ever & don't wan't a p2w game like LA. Thus they only have POE to pick from. Mainly. I'd say half of the mmo playerbase, isn't playing any mmo right now. Not 1.

Elden Ring is still a niche single player game even if popular & has players leaving too. Final Fantasy is still a niche mmo, slow paced, not much new from WoW. & Lost Ark is a average p2w daily login game. So nothing for the rest.

Why not talk about similar style games? If they devs are making POE 2, well they should learn from the downfall of LA, prior to releasing POE 2. Learn & Improve.

Also I'm pretty sure Diablo 2 Ress hype or endgame didn't last either.
