Steam Controller immediately disconnects on selecting controller (beta) option
The post above me is correct. Right click PoE in the steam libarary -> properties -> controller -> Disable Steam Input.
Thank you! I'm having the same issue. Try to choose controller, and it immediately says "disconnected" and switches back to KB + M Last edited by Lionydus#6317 on Mar 15, 2022, 8:49:32 PM

I installed POE via Steam just to try it, and still no dice. I've tried in big picture mode, I've tried with 'disable steam input', i've tried basically every different configuration.

Is the fact that the beta supports Xinput only intended? Hopefully not, and sorry if this has already been answered.

For the people with a DualShock 4 controller: I got it working with DS4Windows

I added POE as a non steam game and the steam controller just worked.
EDIT: Yes I know PoE is on steam but patching is annoying from there so I use the stand alone client. Last edited by rahven32#0810 on Mar 15, 2022, 10:16:43 PM

Changing the steam global controller setting to xbox/generic and setting the PoE controller layout to gamepad resolved this issue for me.
