Convince me Stash tab "MTX" is not pay to win

There are two official definitions of P2W:

1) Pay to win = needing to pay $$ to complete the game and/or do all content.
2) Pay to win = being faster and therefore "winning" the game when there are prizes on the line.

Why POE is not Pay to Win related to above:

1) Many people have demonstrated you don't need any more than 4 tabs to do all content, dismissing point 1 above.
2) This only applies to the 0.001% of people that compete in races and are actually going after some kind of prize. As the Shaper would say, for 99.9% of people winning the game is "irrelevant".

Purchasable stash tabs....

Playing since 2013.....same 4 basic tabs....and I win every time I play.
(I must be doing this wrong, I guess) :-)

Nice try but you should have hidden your forum badge to make it more believable.

I give it a 1/10.

and cause you are the type to ask for even more proof...
Look: GGG could either limit us to four vanilla stash tabs and call it a day, or make more and better stash tabs available. But in doing so, they have to limit them somehow; they can't just hand them out willy-nilly... Or is that what you expect them to do, and for free? Aside from the fact that stash tabs pay to keep the servers running, of course, way ahead of all other MTX sales in revenue generation... =9[.]9=

There are exactly zero "official definitions" of P2W. I mean, what could "official definition" even mean? Who decides? Who exactly gets to say what's an "official definition"? Is there some universally accepted Board of Official Definitions?

P2W is subjective. And why does it even matter? This whole thread reads like a middle school playground session of "I know you are, but what am I?"

From my a$$.

But if you take the words literally, that is, in essence, to "win", you arrive at the definitions above.

The ONLY way to "WIN" in POE is to complete all content (don't need stash tabs), or if you are literally competing in a competition to win something (only for racers).

Your definition of "win", especially as it relates to PoE, is subjective.

My definition of "win" is different. Or rather, it doesn't exist, because my subjective opinion is that you can't "win" PoE. Except for certain competitions for which there are objective "win" conditions. And, ironically, stash tabs don't really give anybody any advantage in those cases.

Thank you for confirming my point.

There is really no way to WIN in POE. My points above were simply to paint a case for the only possible situations where a WIN could potentially exist in someone's mind using a literal sense of the word.

Pay for advantage is really the wording we should be adopting in the future.

At this time in gaming most people seem to be ok with indirectly paying for power. Stash tabs dont directly give you power but the time saved from using them does allow you to get power faster than someone who is not.

But the debate has been done to death and its probably a split opinion.

But they are absolutely pay 4 advantage.

I just don't get how bad their "storage mtx" team really is.

Because their work is Horrendous. It's repulsive, and trying to condition people into good obedient stash buyers.

Have they absolutely no other ideas on how to provide a service in game which people would WANT to buy? Without any latent "yo, this will lowkey give you more stonks than others, because they will be stuck managing their 10chaos stacks, those ungrateful noobs" benefit.
