2021 GGG profit = 45 mil NZD (31 mil USD) after taxes.

While I was converting the currencies I wrote 49 mil instead 44.9 NZD.

I wish POE success and prosperity in the years to come. I know how hard it is to produce and run a game and on the scale Chris is operating is as challenging as running a country.

I can only look on in awe. Users who don't work inside such business don't understand how many facets actually exist within the business operations that need careful oversight and management to keep it running 24/7. There are 1000's of stress points. And then to still produce new content, design, dev and research -it's crazy.

Thank you Chris and Team for this wonderful game.

In Chris' defense: He could have taken the money and retired to a childish nerd mansion in the US like Markus "Notch" Persson did. I like that he still stands by his game and that PoE is still successful.

You really think anyone at Tencent would have even the faintest clue what to do with a fucking design nightmare like PoE without its mastermind at the helm?

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
Why not take the money as long as you keep creative control. It's clear that GGG management wants to make a very specific game for a niche audience. This way they can still produce what they want and not really worry that much about player numbers. If they continue to go down the path of bloat and confusion (from a new player's perspective) this game is eventually doomed as older players age out of it.

They really don't even have to age out, just get tired enough of GGG's antics to never spend another cent.

3) yes. I did point out that revenue from both 2020 and 2021 far surpasses 2019, which suggests the game is just fine. In 2021, GGG borrowed a lot less as well, which means their remittances are steady and allow cash flow liquidity.

Another point possibly supporting this conclusion is the fact that most of the GGG revenue is gathered at the beginning of leagues. So if a league slips out a week or two it can move a big chunk of revenue from one year to the next. I haven't attempted to try to analyze whether or not this might be a factor in this case though.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
