2021 GGG profit = 45 mil NZD (31 mil USD) after taxes.

Comes down to 85,000 USD per day. Why would Chris Wilson sell the company for over 100 mil USD if these are the numbers the company generates for years now, but then again I don't know of the involvement Tencent has for the revenues, since China is a big market. The report would obviously be in NZD.
And Chris was bloody smart to get those $$ in his pocket. ~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.

Amazing that they make $100million a year.
Chris has mentioned that there are about 2million active players. So that means every person spends about $50 a year on average which is pretty good. |

In Chris' defense: He could have taken the money and retired to a childish nerd mansion in the US like Markus "Notch" Persson did. I like that he still stands by his game and that PoE is still successful.

90 million in NZ$ from player purchases (MTX, stash tabs, supporter packs etc.)
As typical, the notes provide cool details on how they manage individual player accounts and points versus virtual items. It certainly looks like the company is doing just fine in spite of the negativity here. 20 million NZ$ plus per league in player spending. The current exchange rate is 1 NZ$ = $0.68 US$ Thanks for posting that link. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." " Negativity comes from super small 0.000000001% very vocal minority and other game trolls. PoE is doing super good and the game is still growing and expanding. All these "killers" will come and go, but PoE slowly but surely growing and taking strong spot in arpg history. |

" About 5% of players actually read and/or post on these forums. I think that's a fair, if not generous assumption (about 100,000 people out of the 2million active users). The other 95% enjoy playing the game. Last edited by brunowa#6253 on Mar 3, 2022, 3:35:27 AM

" Looks more like 10% to 12%, but thats still quite low and a good rating. https://store.steampowered.com/app/238960/Path_of_Exile/ Last edited by trixxar#2360 on Mar 3, 2022, 3:37:26 AM

" A 90%+ rating is like the holy grail and also a measurement for success for publishers and developers. |

This can't be right. PoE has allegedly been dying for years. Lost Ark and Elden ring were allegedly the nails in the coffin that finally killed PoE. How can they make money on an allegedly dead game that no one cares about?
I don't understand. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
