Why people dont play on hardcore?

Too many random deaths/performance issues in poe to play on HC. I don't like the zoom zoom meta of softcore, but unless the performance gets better and the game becomes less rippy then I don't see it becoming a real alternative for softcore players.

Hardcore was always designed for people that want a challenge on top of another challange.
Statistically, far fewer people fit that profile. Even though fewer these people sure are passionate about their preference. Personally, I don't fit that group. I'm not a very skilled player, and exyreme difficulty is not fun in my book. I'm the type that dies once or twice in each map, and barely get to do any of the pinnacle bosses. I'm OK with that. |

Too much random nonsense.
Stop moving - die. League mechanics resulting in insta gibs. League mechanic that requires you to alt-tab to read a book only to return to a death message. The biggie? No death report. Too many wtf just killed me moments? |

The most famous Hardcore player of all time doesn't even play it anymore. Kirpparian said he doesn't play hardcore anymore because the deaths are unfair. You can die to things that aren't your fault and that you can't even see coming.

This game is just not balanced for hardcore and it's just a massive waste of time if you die.

" But hardcore had ALOT more players in earlier leagues like Abyss. And game had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more freeze/crash issues ontop of desync. Now game is like 99 times more stable and HC is empty, why is that :( |
