Don't you think you are taking grasping vines too far??
" I believe this was a rare monster mod.. Tbh i didn't look at the monster mod, but i know it was in an eater of worlds map, so couldn't have been maven. And it was the only rare chasing me at the time so.. |

" As a dedicated FrostBlinker I have never even noticed the grasping vines changes before seeing these new topics here, so it is pretty good  You feel yourself stuck, blink away (which breaks all vines, unlike all the "dash" skills), blink cooldown is negligible because vine-bearing mob was likely a Rare mob (what's the point of those 3 flame dash charges everyone are fond of, in actual combat?), and by the time you get enough new vine stacks to be pinned down a second time, mob should be dead already. The only dangerous case may be the crazy overtuned Harvest mob stacks, but these are pointless to discuss anyway, that mess should not exist at all from the "balance" point of view |

^90% of movement skill use is speeding through maps, not actual combat gameplay. That's why the 3 charge flame dash is preferred over most others: by comparison its MUCH MUCH faster than any other movement skill out in the open.

GGG has identity crisis and want to have cake and eat it too. I am one of the people who welcome slowing down the game, but they want to slow it down but also speed it up.
These vines are cancer when a map is so loaded with juice -- and you can't tell me it's optional anymore as just off atlas passives some maps are dense af -- where mobs are flying at the speed of light and youre suddenly stuck in mud. If my berserker feels like crap caught in it, I can only imagine how a slow character with below average dps feels trying to move around. I was for many things in the game. I dont mind temp chains as a mod. I didnt even mind old reflect where you could play around it. These new vines suck with most movement skills out there. You can't play around them on a fast hitting build when things are so dense and you get a stack per hit. |

" For travel, sure, but as a combat tool, frostblink has a whole list of advantages over flame dash, unless you are a burning damage build. Imo a good quicksilver flask with 100% uptime is better than spamming some skill to run. Have pity on your fingers :) |
