Harvest nerfed once again - why just not simply delete it?

At this point I only use Harvest to reroll Jewels and Clusters.. or whatever shenanigans of the moment.

theres stuff we wanna keep from harvest, it could work in bestiary. but heres a thing, bestiary in its current form is shit as well.

I hope so - Harvest was extremely strong in 3.16, and getting a 20+ beasts map from atlas passives is a ton of fun.
Harvest is still strong. The goal is for it not be busted. In 3.16 it wasn't busted, but it's an amazing QoL.

yes, tons. most of the content in the game.


prophecy was meh, it wasnt even shit and its gone. the ghosts are shit, i think theyre going eventually.



like i said, harvest is a build your own plant farm in order to give the player the ability to use super powerful currency like exalts that they wouldnt usually use. thats from the devs mouths, that was the goal of the content to provide these op exalt crafts, and the vehicle was the build you own farm.


none of that now exists. the design and its goal have both been removed.


if prophecy shat out exalts it would be peoples favourite mechanic, if tormented spirits had a high chance to give you mirror shards people would pursue that content like it was the only thing in the game and would rage at anyone who dared speak ill of it. that doesnt mean prophecy and tormented spirits would be good content that should stay in the game. if you took the harvest craft bench and stuck it in the betrayal safehouse and took the tiny trials and put them in harvest what would people think of harvest? how many people would cry if it was deleted?





a lot of the reason betrayal and incursion and delve and ritual and breach and beyond etc are really good is because they worked the way they were designed to work. harvest didnt work, wheres my collecting seeds and setting up my sprinkler systems and then getting my add/remove life craft from it? harvest right now is a bunch of assets from a failed league idea that have been repurposed and used for another core game idea, which also failed and has been stripped down to what we have now, which is bad clunky gameplay that gives you a clunky gameplay jaring list of crafts you have to deal with in the middle of you map. its shit, but just like a tormented spirit puking up stacks of eternal orbs if the reward is desirable people will want to keep awful content purely because it provides it. if you took the idea of these crafts and gave them to the devs or even most of the players and said ok, design content that ends with these rewards, none of them would come up with what harvest is now.

tormented spirits and prophecy are both better gameplay/mechanics than the corpse of harvest thats lingering in game, so was scourge, and ultimatum.




harvest doesnt need buffed, i dont think theyre going to buff it, i dont think they should buff it, i think anyone expecting anything other than neglect and nerfs to harvest from here on in is probably setting themselves up for disappointment, and thats for the best.

Divinations took Prophecy's place a long time ago.

There is nothing to replace the crafting functions of Harvest without becoming spammable. If you added it to veiled recipes/crafts, it would be perpetually accessible, which is an absolute no-no, and no interaction event currently exists that would replace Harvest.

Like I said: you're hating on content, but basically suggesting they add new content.

Then complaining about more content.
