i think they are moving to delete it eventually.
its rubbish as a mechanic, its not really fun or engaging. people liked the op crafts, the whole build your garden idea was scraped because virtually no one wanted it, what we have now where you go in click the thing, your pc freezes for 2 seconds and then 40 over tuned mobs attempt to one shot you if you dont instantly move, no ones getting out of bed to enjoy that gameplay. its shite.
but the crafts are amazing and thats why everyone put up with it and didnt complain.
except now theyre not.
theres no reason to keep it long term. i have not found an augment since the nerf 9 months ago or whatever, i havent found a single boss monster, all the powerful mods now basically dont exist for 99% of people.
whats cool tho is swap shaper/elder frags for others, upgrade goddess offerings, add craft to your map device, swap resist A for resist B etc. theres cool little crafts that we need to keep. i think they will eventually find another way to give us these crafts and then just delete harvest completely.

theres crafts they like, theres crafts we need to keep, but you can add those crafts to another mechanic that people actually enjoy.
ggg obviously dont want the really good crafts, target aug, target annul, add/remove, all the things people LOVED harvest for are off the table basically. aug still exists in theory, not really in practice.
my argument is what we are left with is a really poor mechanic that has some good rewards we want to keep. but what made harvest = HARVEST!!!!!! for so many people were the op mods, theyre never coming back, the reason harvest was created was to have a build ur own crop farm simulator that gave us these op mods. that was the design, both the op mods and the farm sim are gone, what we are left with is shit gameplay that provides some cool little crafts. the entire purpose for this thing to exist has gone and the useful crafts that still exist and make the game better will be much better served dished up to the player through a better gameplay experience with new mechanics.
its just a guess, but i think ggg knows this and they are slowly winding down harvest with a view to chucking it on the scrap heap in the next 18 months. if theyre not then im gonna argue they should be.

You talk like this, but there literally isn't a single applicable content in the game that could easily accept any of the Harvest crafting. You're basically saying, Create something new, to replace it, again, because YOU don't like Harvest.

Well poeple who wanted harvest they would only do Haew.
Plus with Harb drops rarer currency I did get couple of Mirror shards back in Ritual

You you look at talents, every watchstone is nerfed (dead), not only harvest. Harbingers are nerfed too btw (we already had harbinger bosses, and chance of new talent will be 1%(for annul lol)).
Want +1000% for harvest bosss or t4 seeds? Buy new already rolled sextants. Forgot how they are called.

The problem with harvest is you guys, sorry. You are still for some reason clinging to the idea that harvest reliabl gives augments, remove non X add X and whatnot. Those crafts are limited. VERY limited. And I really wonder why u just can't make your peace with it and move on.
Because besides those nerfs harvest is still BY FAR the most powerful crafting mechanism in the game. Reforge more likely has a 90x better chance to roll the same modifier types, so if u hit a weapon with for example incr phys and added phys u can use 2-3 of those to get very decent gear for literally nothing.
Metacrafting in combination with harvest is also powerful as fuck. There can be a debate about the mechanic itself, the monster damage... All good. But not seeing how unbelievably powerful it still is is kind of speaking to your knowledge. There's a reason why people that go straight into harvest have their mirrors 1 week in the league
