Sure we've got a lot of juice this league, but what about in 3 months from now?

I look at things in the long-term. I strongly doubt this abundance of scarabs will last beyond this league. Archnemesis provides the greatest bulk of scarabs and, assuming we're lucky that it gets added to core, their spawn rate will drop to 10% or less. Even the Operative Strongbox is already a rare spawn.

Personally, almost all of the scarabs I get are ones I never use. I only use three and I have to buy them, because I'm not sustaining them from current atlas passives and Betrayal. The rest get sold.

Juice mechanics often enhance each other so limiting one does more than one might think.

@OP the searing exarch & eater of worlds voidstones are very easy to get. The green(quest) version of these maps have lower boss hp & if you fail it you constantly keep getting it by doing another map. The 2 minibosses are a bit more difficult, but overall none of them are even close to maven or uber elder.

You should be able to get at least 2 voidstones without too much trouble, and if you still can't do it then try /global 820 channel and asking for a boss carry.

you dont need 4 stones, with 2 stones half your atlas is already t16 maps just like half your atlas was t16 maps when you had max watchstones on the previous atlas.

you were fine playing the game when the highest maps were 2x lvl78 maps (courtyard + palace)? you were fine playing the game when there were a total of 4x t16 maps (shaper guardians) and when there were 5x t16 maps (shaper guardians plus elder orb)? you were fine when you had about 36x t16 maps on the last atlas but now you have what? about 44x t16 maps on your atlas with 2 voidstones suddenly you need to quit playing the game because you dont have 100x t16 maps on your atlas?



most people who have 4 voidstones are not using 4 voidstones. i would never use 4 voidstones, the only people who 'need' them are people doing big juice that want to max out 4 sextants on top of 4 scarabs etc. those people can easily beat maven and uber elder.

for almost everyone else 4 voidstones is terrible, its an awful idea to use 4 of them. 2 is pretty much optimal for the majority of people providing they dont have a bug.

You got it wrong. i could upgrade my atlas without worrying about end-game bosses but now i can't. also before it was T14 to T16 maps, now half of it is T16 and the rest are T8 and more. and guess which maps drop the most ? bunch of yellows and early reds which screwed end game mapping consistency. i might be wrong tho, but i didn't have issues with tier drops before.

Now i'm out of +T14 maps but i have tons of T8s and T11s, bearly any +T14 drops.

A Question to any of you vets out there:
If i use carry for Maven (got banned once for asking for carry in chat, reason was: use trade chat - i was in 820), does it still drops the Voidstone for me ? should i be in the fight with him or can i stay in my hideout and then go in and get it ?

one thing i like about the 2 new bosses is we get to kill them in "easy mode" for the first time.

THEN they get hard in the next encounters.

i find this as a good way to let players progress and learn boss mechanics.

the easy mode bosses can have reduced rarity or whatever. at the very least i got 2 void stones from them

how am i doing now?

i am really struggling to kill maven/uber eldper. i refuse to follow any meta builds.

with the introduction of maven and the atlas passives, i actually learned to accept that i will not be able to get the last few atlas passive points from stupid hard maven/the feared invitations. i do not want to resort to paying for carries.

i lost a few atlas points i m ok. i was at max map bonus/awakening bonus, i was at awakening 8. i can kill sirus etc.

but now, i m lacking 2 voidstones. 2 voidstones is HUGE compared to a few atlas passive points.

2 voidstones equal to losing access to high tier versions of maps that i actually like. it also means losing ability to run 4 sextants at once.

losing the ability to run 4 sextants imo is a huge blow to juicing up my map.

i am thankful that i was thrown a bone with the 2 boss easy modes, but still salty about maven/eldper requirement.

The 2 new easy mode bosses don't have any tricky mechanics that are unavoidable. There are no mandatory memory games, die beams, etc. If you can do damage and avoid really slow telegraphed hits, you can beat them. I beat them on ~250k dps with a character that is fairly squishy. If you can do juiced T16 maps, you should be able to easily kill the easy mode version of these bosses.

I'm still on 2 voidstones. I have not had a problem with map sustain doing only T14-16 maps. This is before the voidstone buff from last night so it should be even easier to sustain now.

To the guy above me: You don't need a meta build to beat maven/uber elder. Plenty of builds can do it and plenty of them are just as strong if not stronger than the meta builds. The only reason the meta builds are meta is that popular streamers are playing them and therefore tons of folks are following along (since that's a lot less effort than actually building or finding something equally strong). Them being meta builds does not make them inherently stronger than non-meta builds. I get that it's cool to hate things that are popular but I also encounter tons of people who don't actually know what a meta build is when hating it (not saying that is true of you).

thats not how map drops work. if you drop a yellow t8 map in your current atlas with 2 stones you get that t8 map. if you had 3 or 4 voidstones socketed that t8 map would still roll, but it just wouldnt drop because you have no t8 maps o your atlas. it wouldnt drop as a t14+ map.

your map sustain with 2 voidstones will be much better than with 4, even with the new mechanic they just added yesterday.

This part is only partially true. His overall general map sustain will be worse (if he wants lower tier maps) but his sustain specifically for high tier maps is better due to map equity. The T8 that doesn't drop isn't lost, it's banked into equity and when you accumulate enough, the next low tier map drop becomes a high tier one.

I love the new changes but one thing that I really hate is making maven and uber elder for 2 voidstones. It should just have been normal elder and shaper. I do not like to kill uber elder and maven as they are hard so I avoid them. Previous leagues its not a requirement to kill them so why now?

Me & my friends that are playing, NON of them are interested to kill them nor they dont have the skills to kill it. Yes you can hire someone to kill them but my playing country is singapore so it is hard to find someone that live close to mine so that they have stable ping to kill maven and uber elder.

Plus, you are losing nearly half the loot since you cant apply 2 sextants for the 2 voidstones. AND you cant buy voidstone anymore unlike previous leagues. I HATE to do endgame bosses and would sincerely request that GGG remove maven and uber elder for the 2 voidstone or at least idk, make voidstone buyable again.
