So if you can't defeat the 4 end game bosses for voidstone...
That was my initial thought too on seeing that section...
It basically read like a "Don't play this league!" instruction to me :-( The Maven encounter is pretty much the worst fight design possible... even worse than Sirus (which says a lot)... |

" You will have some t16 initially, and after defeating Elder/Shaper (which at this point are omega easy boses) - most of your atlas will be red. No problem there. |

Things we do not know:
1) How many red maps of each tier we have access to without Voidstones. 2) The difficulty of the initial iterations of the initial, non-scaled new bosses. One thing is clear, though: Fully upgrading your atlas now, requires a far more powerful build than before. But as I understand, you have access to ALL maps from the get-go, letting you get most atlas passive without the use of Voidstones. I may be wrong here, but it seems like Voidstones only upgrade the maps, and do not grant you access to hidden maps, like Watchstones did. You DO have access to some T16 maps without ANY Voidstones, which sort of makes Voidstones more of a "want" for most players, and not a "need", like Watchstones were. " Uber Elder, Maven and the two new bosses. You don't get anything from Shaper or regular Elder. And Uber Elder is not an "easy" fight for most people. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Jan 28, 2022, 4:18:36 AM

Yeah, I am one of no boss killer players but I dont think it is a problem to play without voidstones. The new atlas passive tree gives me enough bonuses for my map farming and the only thing that limits me is that my t16 map pool will be smaller than could be.

I don't think it is that hard tho
Maven is an easy fight and they stated that the new 2 bosses white version are easier than Maven |

Yes when I heard this part I thought I'm never going to get a Voidstone.
I liked getting the Watchstones and it seemed like a progression for me. Voidstones sound like another thing I probably won't be able to access as the Guardians are about my limit. |

Only took them 2 years to realize that the watchstone-sandwich approach was convoluted/busy work for no reason and now they are back to the old natural map approach pre 3.9.
Here the new Atlas without Voidstones, and will likely look for weak builds in SSF: ![]() They went from one extreme to another. 3.9-3.16 all maps red without any pinnacle boss. Now only killing all of them. This league seems like a test to see what new meta emerges for high HP & multi phases bosses. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks |

My atlas is fully socketed yet I can't beat uber elder and maven. I don't use sextants either. So nothing will change for me and for many players. Sextants will help you buff maps, not achieve endgame of endgame sooner.
Also many people overlook the fact that everyone got a super massive buff to target farming (uniques or currency) thanks to atlas passives and ALSO in power with the two implicit mods on non-corrupted items + some influenced mods in normal pool. I think many are giving voidtsones too much attention. They're stealing the show of the otherwise great endgame progression buff for more casual players. |
