Is GGG morphing into Blizzard? Blizzard is bought by Microsoft??!
BaneslayerAngel is wiping the floor with you guys logic wise :)
Expedition just needed to drop more expedition currency since we encounter it rarer. If its what, 8% to encounter expedition instead of 100% then maybe at least quadruple the expedition currency gains? Nah, its gonna be fine... Interact with expedition npc for 5 min in 10 hours or gameplay is enough... For anyone who is not target-farming this mechanic in some way its just waste of time with a sprinkle of fomo on top. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

" That is true to some extent for many other mechanics, that's where atlas passives come "to the rescue". There's no need for super-extensive "target-farming" tho, unless you are gambling over9000 rerolls trying to win a lottery - scarabs are common enough, and you could always throw janus into intervention a couple times if needed. Logbooks are nice too, and in trade league you can just plain buy&run them without actually "target-farming" them. Are you target farming expedition yourself?

" I did in the Atlas Invasion and Delirium events. First 4 atlas passives in both events went into invasion bosses and their bonus loot for 6ls and some currency drops. The next 4 went into Expedition to farm Tujen for currency, Rog for some lucky crafts and Gwennen to have a shot at winning the lottery. Tujen being the most valuable and reliable out of the 3, both of the other guys wont be anywhere near as good in a short event but still worth a shot. Not sure if I would do in a 3 months league because there are much better ways to obtain gear and currency but in an event its a very good option. |

Activision Blizzard is morphing into Microsoft. Just sayin'.

" Just saw that news. Interesting, actually. It's not like Activision/Blizzard (and Bethesda, for that matter) wasn't in need of something... Else... Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" If you're measuring the league in how many hh you got from gwennen. No wonder you have no idea where the rewards are. This league I only ran expeditions for a few days and yes I got several multiple exalt items from rog and tens of exalts worth from tujen. And the mechanic is easy to setup (no scarabs, etc etc etc) and super chill to run and then to spend the currencies. Don't take my word for it, expedition scarabs are expensive because it's rewarding and enjoyable. |

" Are you really evaluating this game based on people who can't play t14+? That's the tutorial portion. My first league I made the most stupid build ever based on no guide, no clusters, no knowledge, no nothing, I just learned the game on my own time and hell did I not ever get stuck in yellow tiers..... |

Late to the party, but throwing my 2 cents in because apparently OP doesn't think I exist.
" 1 - Expedition was in my 3 favorite league mechanics of all time. In fact, almost everyone I've seen talk about the league itself seemed to really enjoy it. Patch 3.15 was unpopular because of the balance changes that came with the league, NOT the league itself. Sorry if you didn't have fun with the mechanic, but you are not everyone and from what I've heard you aren't even in the majority here. And, yes, I AM target farming expeditions, with every single atlas passive for them allocated and Janus permanently assigned to Intervention. 2 - What you are said is correct, except that you phrased it like a bad thing? Players were literally finishing 100% of all endgame content in the first week from about 3.06 to 3.13, so is it really THAT surprising that GGG wanted to extend the playtime a bit more for their best players? Obviously there are subjective limits to how much grind is too much grind, but I don't think we're even close to being there (yet). 3 - Sort of an extension of my last point. Who else SHOULD the new endgame content be catered to, exactly? Why should players who already can't beat Shaper-level content get new bosses at their level? Adding new non-endgame content for players who have yet to run out of content makes absolutely zero sense, and even trying to figure out the twisted doublethink non-logic employed here is giving me a migraine. 4 - Lolwhut? Game developers BECOME game developers because they're gamers who want to design their own perfect game. Again... logic. Very, very, very basic logic, and yet it remains utterly elusive. Think of PoE as a restaurant, with Krillson as the head chef/restaurant owner. You order something on the menu to get it the way that chef makes it, not the way you'd make it at home. If you don't like it, you don't have to go to the restaurant and give them your money; you can stay home and cook it for yourself. And if you lack the ability to cook certain dishes you enjoy, you can easily find a different restaurant more closely aligned with your palate. It's entirely possible that you are not, in fact, the same exact person as Chris Wilson, and as such will have somewhat different personal tastes than him. But it's beyond unreasonable to expect any chef to put something on the menu they wouldn't enjoy themselves, made the way they'd most enjoy it.
