I dont mind game being hard but the last 2 leagues where horrible for a casual like me not because the league was boring but because all the fucking reward where at juicy endgame stuff....
The best leagues for me are leagues that reward the player at all time from leveling to end game. The last 2 leagues I was so poor when I reached map that early gearing felt like a chore, no currency.. it was boring as fuck. IF GGG keep this trend they will lose me. |

The gauntlets for expedition and scourge definitely show the line that GGG crossed with my enjoyment of the game tbh, I won't play popular shit basically and these leagues are where that went from acceptable to play off spec to unacceptable to play off spec.
Gauntlets focus this issue intensely by squeezing the mechanics to see what good builds come out and it highlights how few skills outpeform to the level we expect to compete or participate in some relevant fashion. I'm gonna go beg Ziz not to put boss life on again, I made it through to maps but the slog was unreal on normal skills I enjoyed it far more with amped up damage than having to fight a boss for 15 minutes everytime. in regular league environment i'm managing OK because i've got enough experience to compensate for the weaknesses usually or i polish them enough to get by, it is however far more restrictive than prior to 3.15. My personal views aside I don't really know what they are going to do, I know what they are trying to achieve but I don't think they are willing to do the work it takes to migrate the game to the standard they expect and without the consistency and quality required of those changes they just shine a torch on the things they missed. Take the defensive buffs this league for example i've been waiting forever for these but in many ways they've broken the flow of the game again all thats happened is i've gone from killing Sirus quickly and playing properly for a short time frame to killing Sirus slowly and he can't kill me unless I sit in meteor... and even that I can survive if i press MS. They power creeped the problem in the other direction and they will either have to nerf them back already in 3.17 or their new content is going to be absolute jacked in damage terms. |

" This! I participated in those a few times, and it was way more brutal than gauntlet, especially the ones that had the uber lab monoliths everywhere. Only a handful of people got past brutus, but it was still fun to play and watch. They didn't represent the overall state of the game back then, just as gauntlet doesn't represent the standard PoE experience now. It's a very niche type of event that caters to a small subset of the players. Idk why people are comparing it to regular challenge leagues? |

" There is just so much packed in there... Most of which means casual unfriendly game. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |
