they dont wanna reveal the new expansion+league so there isnt really aynthing to talk about

He still could tackle the ongoing debates on poor state of the game and why a portion of the community is being pissed off...

the thing is all those questions have been answered by ggg over and over again in chris´s Q&A

it alwayys leads to

-exp penalty
-trade experience
- "1shots" (that actually arent 1shots 99% of the time with reasonable defence)

their manifestos on these topics are up to date, they just havent change their stance on these subjects
players that disagree with ggg sight on these topics love to pretend these things werent adressed at all

just to make it clear,i´m not saying there cant be improvements or changes
3month isnt really a long time and all players know that major changes only happen on the big patches

non stop doing Q&As takes a lot of resources for no real benefit, when these things, even if they would see changes, wont change before the next major patch
its wasted time and money, they is better spent on improving the game

He simply shouldn't have offered more community engagement then.

I get what you're saying but just giving us what was offered isn't that crazy of a thing to ask for lol
he could answer just 1 question
why does he think no one is complaining about any penalties in the game????

he did a lot of Q&As at the start of the league, these didnt happen in previous leagues so he kept his word
at no point ggg said these would go on for the whole league

the simply isnt any new info that ggg wants to reveal atm and all things from this leagues patch have been discussed

just having Q&As answering the same questions over and over again (since nothing changed and 99.9% of the complains have been discussed before) for the sole sake of having an Q&A simply doesnt hold any value

these questions were asked by who? reddit users?
i never seen something here in the forum where we could just ask something and it gets answered in a video
its either zizaran exclusive (his own discord probably) or reddit
so what are you even talking about?

actually yes.
in the interviews, streamers were feeling that they had to forward all the usual ancient reddit dirt and throw it at chris. even streamers that used to have more brains, it's been painful to watch.

why did they do that?

there has been alot of pressure of the lowest "reddit bottom of intelligence" towards streamers at that time.
wich culminated in death threats to a streamer and massive accusations from the "reddit bottom" that streamers were sitting in bed with ggg.
they, again, created a "we against ggg" scenario and forced streamers to take sides.

ggg more or less stopped reddit postings after that and probably wants some grass to grow over it.

--

the problem isn't really the people.

yes, to a certain degree you can influence what type of player plays your game and ggg went for casuals and they got frustrated cause the game got more frustrating, it's normal.
it's also common to leave your anger in angry postings (most of them will learn later in life that it's sometimes better to sleep over it).

the problem is reddit.

it's a echo chamber which accumulates personal anger until there is group action. it would need a community manager who has the balls to step into this mess and take some hits. maybe ggg is still hiring ;)

The problem isnt reddit judges.. all of the "negativity" (buzzword rather than using yet another buzzword like "toxic") was EARNED by dev's.

Crystal clear. They keep cattering to twitch and the vision.. what else they expected? as for "they post less in social media" aw poor booboo don't tell me their ego got hurt because their vision in fact was disliked and seems some still don't like where the game is heading?

Aside from that it's pretty obvious for people that spends sometime here to notice that GGG as company on december feels like a ghost town in general and there wont be anything until mid january at best.
Don't be a poe stan. Use your fucking brain.

how did they "earn it"? if you play a game, you play "the developers vision of that game".

if some players have "personal visions" for that game and try to pressure devs into their visions, they should at least try to switch from the player's side of view to the developers side.

most of the stuff that comes up is copied from games that are either single player games or from games that have a expected life span (ROI) of 2 to 3 years.

their vision is poe 2. and of course it's not liked by all people cause it adresses the competitive hardcore type of player which made ggg sucessful in the first place.

as i said, they need someone who accompanies that change in the community.

Large parts of the vocal majority always boil down to insults, memes and are never happy no matter how much they get, so I'm not surprised there is radio silence until GGG have some concrete good news and a decent amount of it.
I would expect this is why there has been no hardmode news as they have piled all the focus on the next league as it's really make and break for them now. 2 leagues in a row have been a disaster and the worst numbers in the games' history, if we count 3.0 as its start of 'real' popularity and profitability.

Unless they are stupid I expect the new league to be far easier and far more rewarding and until there is a shit hot trailer to be shown with a bunch of good detailed info to share I doubt they'll be stupid enough to say anything, events were the bone to keep the streamers happy which has always been their top priority.

I would not be so sure of that. Next league will still probably be all nerf for the 99% and big powercreep for the 1% with even more hard content for them...

Until GGG realise that their community is 99% of Casual / Midcore players and that they went away and making the game is not profitable anymore...

He said moving "forward in the future" it's something they are going to do so they don't run into the same problems in regards to getting player feedback before the league goes live. So they don't have the issues they had in 3.15.

That's not setting an expectation of answering 3.15 questions and then silence.

He set an expectation and failed to live up to it at this point. There's zero defense for that. Not sure how anyone can say they've lived up to it.
