I find people's assumption that streamers are playing all by themselves quite amusing. They have followers who are more than happy to toss them stuff in hopes of currying favor. There's hundreds of people contributing to the success you see on YouTube. But all you see is the result of that.

I might be wrong, but I think Streamers cannot take or offer "handouts or service" anymore as part of ToS. I think it was some sort of RMT adjacent issue with their platform.

Edit: for clarity it has to be a reasonable trade or market value service. Cannot say I will do "x" if you sub to my channel, or link lotteries, etc..

They can't take handouts "on stream", says nothing about "off stream".

Again I'm not sure on the specifics, but if it's like you say, that's hilarious.

Pretty sure thats not what Shags was trying to say and also not sure this is even a thing.

What you will see all the time on stream will stuff like this:
"I need some chaos. Who wants to buy an exalt for x chaos?"
This deal will be done in seconds, when it takes the regualr player way more time to do the exact same thing.

Or "I need item x, is someone willing to sell for x chaos/ex?"
Will also be done in no time.

Each deal on its own isnt a big factor but it does add up over time and allows streamers to be more efficient. Thats not against any ToS and legally perfectly fine.
It also does affect the bottom line over time quite a bit.

If I'm not mistaken this "policy" went into action during those on-steam linking lotteries some time back. Essentially anyone could donate fusings and if it got a 6L the streamer gave them an exalt, keeping the 6L.

It got worse from there. "If you sub my channel I will give you crafting bench service, etc..."

Essentially this was considered RMT by GGG. (As I understand it)

To Double's point though, you could do all sorts of shit offline, and that would seem very difficult to monitor.

Yeah but you cannot blame that on them...It's like blaming a cook for doing pasta faster than the average joe.

Im not blaming them. Id do the same if I could.

Its just a tiny factor contributing to the perceived unfair success/advantage streamers have over regular players and latter ones being outraged about it, claiming stuff like streamer-clients or manipulated drop rates were a thing.

I highly doubt that. Is it possible?
Yeah sure why not but you dont need to look for absurd explanations close to flat-earther territory to explain something like streamers being more successful than non-streamers.
Thats just a given and tiny things like what I described above do contribute quite a bit in the long run.

That was my point

You can and ggg too for not developing systems and monitoring that behavior. Those people get away with too much stuff.
They were able to make ladders, events with rewards, but can't ensure that no cheating is possible.
i see a lot of ppls saying streamers play more than 14 hours per day and bla bla bla, dude the game is RNG or not? RNG = LUCK, i can play the same time as a streamer but the drop for me is the same trash exalted and some bad items,

some ppls said you just watch highlights dude you're blind, cause you are fanboy from the game and some streamers, all day have highlights and tell me why all day have a good drop for them only streamers ? why not us only one time? i play the game for some years is not the same game, i started do nemesis 3 on tower t12 but until now i only have 4 nurses and 3 exalteds i made 7 run atm 7run = nothing yes, but i play the game more than 10 hours per day and until now only drop exalteds, good drops never will drop,

i'm talking about solo farm single player like streamers do it alone, they have group sometimes but they play solo 90% the time, for now dezember have a lot of events i'll stop here scourge league is dead until the events end, ggg never will fix it, a lot of streamers know about it and some others don't know about the high drop rate i'm sure,

On what account? :)

Yes, the game at its core is RNG, but there's A LOT of systems in place, where knowledge mitigate that RNG. Strategies + investment + knowledge + zoomzoom, and the RNG is cut in half.

Do you think the richest people each league are all streamers? Hate to break it to you, but the answer is no.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
