3.16.1 Hotfix 2

3.16.1 Hotfix 2:

  • Gilded Fossil modifiers that had multiple sell price outcomes now instead have a single possible outcome. This is to solve a problem where some outcomes of a Gilded Fossil modifier can be previewed in the Vendor window, and visibly change in quantity when the item is modified using currency that changes an item's base type.
  • Fixed a bug where the Tainted Divine Teardrop could raise crafted modifiers to values higher than usually obtainable or change them to a crafted modifier that is not usually found on that base type. As a result of this fix, Tainted Divine Teardrop no longer affects crafted modifiers or modifiers that can't normally roll. Existing items that have impossible modifiers will be changed into appropriate possible modifiers when the Scourge league ends.
  • Fixed a bug where the Tainted Divine Teardrop was not able to raise or lower the tier of some modifiers.
  • Fixed a bug where the Gladiator Achievement could not be completed.

fix scourge league.
I don't check my posts. Once I post 'em, they're staying as-is. Best way to contact me is through the PM system.

Could you clarify if this is only taking off the positive outcome, or does this mean we can no longer downgrade elevated mods?
You guys don't think things out clearly do you?

You have to assume that everything you create will be exploited by your players.

Yeah, why don't they just look into their crystal ball and see all the possibilities in every future situation? Hindsight is such an amazing thing, it should work backwards too!
Who knew, testing with hundreds of thousands of players reveals things a QA team of dozens couldn't. Might wanna touch up your crystal ball.

If they had established more of a precedent of banning players for exploits a lot less of this would go on.

The gilded fossil issue was flagrant cheating, this has been hotfixed before. Accounts involved (not people who did it once or twice... but anyone who used 500+ horizons on gilded fossil maps) should just be deleted alongside an announcement like this: "we permanently banned 77 accounts for this exploit including 9 that had 40/40 challenges in multiple leagues".

Divine Teardrop is different as it's not something with a past precedent.

That's not going to happen. We are now 3½ weeks in, and they haven't done anything meaningful. They will just ride this shitstorm out, dump the league mechanic, and move on to the next league.
Scourge was a huge failure. GGG has accepted that, and apparently just won't do anything about it.
