poedb and others datamined the content.ggpk file. We how can I do it because wiki & poedb is way off. Like they say Burning Blood div card is in Lava chamber when there is no Lava Chamber anymore. It's really frustrating all these sites are out of date on a lot of these cards when half the atlas was wiped out and they still show original location.

For poe tool developers there are multiple programs that are being used

LibGGPK2 - ggpk explorer
PyPoE - code package for python for parsing ggpk data and poe datasets
RePoE - a collection of poe data like mods, item info etc etc

Oh my...That stuff looks like you need to be very proficient with computers. About all I can do is edit neversink.filter file. Thanks anyway.

Not true...

It is true. They've always done this, with lots of cards and vendor recipes; leaving it to the community to find and share information. We all remember the GCP days, am I right?

You clearly disagree, and feel that all of this information should be public from the get-go - and I agree with you on that. I thought that was the whole idea with divination cards; a semi-deterministic approach.

But, as I have several empathic devil's advocates living inside me, I can't help seeing it from their side too. Between PoB, datamining and other sources, there's nothing "unknown" about PoE anymore. Nothing "undiscovered". Nothing for the community to figure out. The game, as progressive as it is, is solved - from A to Z. So I do understand that they use changes like this for what they're worth, sneaking in bits and pieces for the community to hunt and solve.

But, if they are to rotate maps every league and keep rotating divination card drops, this policy is not the way to go. Divination cards will lose their whole point, if we have to wait for week 4-5 to even have a slight idea about their drop locations.

It says right in patch notes where many moved. Just not all. It's an incomplete list only covering about 20% of all those cards that dropped from deleted maps.

Yes, that's why I said "lots of cards" and not "all". They usually don't tell you were new cards drop either. They've always snuck in something for the community to locate, find, discover and solve.

Tbh this sounds like corporate propaganda.

"Its not a lack of QoL, its enrichment for the community!"

Meh, so alt tab and watch YouTube video, or use a 3rd party tool. How novel and exciting.

I REALLY disagree with this sort of thought process on QoL. That the reason it's not there is for the "benefit" of the community. What freaking benefit?

how is this a question about qol, its a design decision to not hand out information about everything and let whoever figures it out get an advantage, like when the gem qual recipe was first discovered and whoever found it was printing money. its how ggg want their game to be
^

I dont dont disagree that this is intentional. I disagree with the decision that is almost assuredly anti-player. It serves no purpose. (Other than maybe giving a YouTuber some content)

And all QoL improvements are design decisions. The crafting bench has recipes greyed out that you haven't found, and tells you where to get them. How is this any different?

It's the same thing for PoB, Crafting tools, trading tools, items filters, and more. GGG outsources this because it costs them nothing. It's so incredibly annoying imo.
