Alch&go isn't juiced maps, but even that will be orders of magnitude better in profit rate thanks to bigger mob density (way more scourge stacks), better scourge juice gains, awakened jewel drops from conquerors/sirus, endgame boss fragments/drops, full maven passives bonuses, high lvl logbooks, and everything else that's red-maps-only.

For anecdotal evidence, check the "how much EX have you earned" topic - the top end of efficiency is at 150+ EX, while the casual section has nothing.

Yes, fully juiced red maps will always be the best to make currency, but they also make yo uwant to kill yourself because of how much shit you need to do before you actually can run few of them. Barely anyone is running those. Vast majority of players are running "low effort low profit" content, which normally should be alch&go red maps, but not we are back to white maps being the best for that. Scourge white map to T10, enjoy rain of currency w/o any risk of failing.
@gandhar0 Hunter +2 gloves and tribal fury anoint helps but yeah it's mainly whole screen AOE at break neck speeds which makes you "rich". I hate it. Combat feels so shallow. Boss fights are cool combat I like Aul he's probably my favorite but not much else.

If it feels shallow you can always go slammer and press warcries and potions in synch.
Not sure OP knows what they're asking for, you want MORE builds to be league start meta viable, not the league start meta to be abolished (which is impossible anyway).

Strike Skills are pretty popular this league, with Lightning Strike being played by thousand.

No one wants the game to be catered towards strike skills, but rather strike skills being catered towards the game, with new interesting secondary effects and maybe built in AoE on some of them (especially Heavy Strike, Double Strike and Dual Strike, where there is no secondary effect or AoE)

But if someone is actually asking for the game to be "densed" down to the point of strike skills hitting one and one enemy should be viable, show me - please. I'll wait :)

But that's the comparison between lategame and early game. I like how you realize how far apart they are, to the point where comparing it seems retarded - that's exactly the point I'm making.

And as for white to red maps comparison, reds are still easily 5x more profitable than whites because of everything I listed earlier.

Also, have you tried scourging white maps to T10 while running white maps? Takes way, way, way longer than when running red maps, which is a part of my point.
Never league started with anything else that I've wanted to play.

My thoughts exactly. You want to play something hipster? You gotta farm. This has always been the case I believe. Maybe not during harvest when the hardest thing you needed to do was to find the grove.
