Haven't felt this powerless in endgame in forever.
Again, you just aren't worth the time, but you bait well.
rekikyo, why does it offend you that some people do not like a specific league, or think GGG is going in the wrong direction, and say so? I know you will keep responding to my every post, so I may as well ask. I dont think GGG is a bad gaming company overall. That doesnt mean I have to praise the direction they go in, or falsely say everything they do is perfect. The forums exist for communication. Why are you so offended that you respond to literally every post anyone has that is remotely negative in any way. Does your dad/mom work at GGG (honest question)? Your resists are not maxed, 4K life, negative chaos. I don't care what build you play you'll get one shot this way all-the-time in maps.
Im only 88 and max res plus 3, so 78%, almost 6000 life and 42% chaos. Yes it's rippy when you scourge cause sometimes they are right on top of you. Have to prepare for that as it happens half the time. I only played the first weekend because I'm waiting on a new video card. maybe that's part of the problem too? This game gets laggy in transitions last few leagues. I have literally an 8 yr old video card that feels it. (dont ask what I paid these miners and pandemic interrupted supply chains have video cards 2-3x retail) In general I like the league but those huge lag spikes in scourge transition were sometimes killing me. " I never said get a shield. I said either get more HP or get Block. At the time, you only had 20% Block from a rare shield. Your build consists (still) of mostly unlinked, not max socketed items that generally worth less than 1c (I can see your stuff) Why aren't you using a Soul Mantle? There's a node group of ailments right near Templar with 30% Chaos res and 30% reduced effect of Curses. With a Single Kikazaro or new Curse reduction items (Shaper ring) you could pretty much null the curses you receive. The mastery gives another 20% reduced effect as well. Self Flaggelation hasn't ever been this easy to manage, and would increase your totems' damage more than anything else in your build. Picking a little bit of something here or there (Stormblast in wand when you can't do any damage yourself) isn't helping. |

" This is the last time. I've already reported most of your other harassment. Here goes though; It doesn't offend me in the least when people have constructive criticism of the game or a league. However, I don't consider Act level play and stop tendencies in a game so obviously about Maps constructive. The Story is more or less the same as the last 3 years. If someone's giving up by then, there's a more insidious problem with them (not the game) than we can address: The fact the person is either growing out of the game or growing up, and no longer is entertained by the same thing or has the time. That's a problem GGG shouldn't be attempting to solve, and it's not a problem with league content. It's just a natural cycle of change. If they were to play into maps, get to T14s and still have problems, even with a competent build, then we have something to talk about in regards to game opinions. When someone who is having problems touts 8 years of play, but after 16 days still has gear no better than what drops on the ground during story play, that also affects my ability to believe that they've ever been better. Maybe Harvest made them feel better briefly, and then ever since they've been upset because GGG took away a lot of that OP mechanic. When a poster complains about damage in a game where mechanics exist that so obviously almost completely negate said damage, ignores that advice, that also reflects my opinion of that person's opinion. Literally half the complaints about Scourge is damage, yet we have more drops, higher levels, and I've personally experienced the content they are complaining about without dying at all... It's funny how that works. Other people are also arguing that they can do this content; I'm not alone. Even you. Then, there's the discussions on Scourge Crafting..... and there's a defining meridian between two camps: Storyline Crafters vs Map Crafters. Map Crafters know that Scourge is great for maps, and for gear is a last act after all other crafting is done, and have actual results from doing so. They defend the mechanism. The prior complains that they've got nothing, when their only exposure is to low tier drop pools with bad mods because they don't have access to good mods yet. In other words, Yes. I do value criticism. But only when it comes in the form of someone whose actually experienced the topic they are discussing. If told that they need to experience more, and they refuse and still pretend to be an expert, I don't have much more energy to spend on them. I also look at the size and retention of the player base, and look at the story it's telling vs that criticism, and the rate of player growth. People have leveled this league MUCH faster than the last 9 leagues. In other words, people are grinding and the grind is enabling them better. Apparently something must be right with the content. |

You just have a bad build and you're upset that monsters with 125% MORE DAMAGE are one-tapping you at 4K life.
Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506

" Well, this is the build that leagues are now designed for. GGG seem to get annoyed anytime someone tries to take a balanced approach and nerfs the slower builds in an attempt to force them towards the current metazoom build(s). |

" These are fair points, and if you posted like this instead of calling anyone who disagrees with you 'crap' and 'idiots', then I would have no issues with you. But you do those things. You understand that is trolling right? To your points in this post. 1 - I believe Chris has said most people do not even make it to maps, so calling the Acts insignificant seems extremely out of context of what most people play. Do you want me to find the quote? Why should leagues be bad for content that we all do, and most people do not surpass? I dont understand this logic. 2 - Gear is the metric by which you judge valid arguments? So if I post a headhunter, I win all arguments? I strongly disagree with this method of judging validity. Does that mean trade players have better knowledge of the game because the gear they buy? 3 - I dont know anyone posting they cant defeat the content if they adopt the tanky meta builds available this league. It did for sure kill a large build variety that was either not tanky, or couldnt instant-kill. That reinforces the meta, while off-brand builds DO die. This does not mean you or I are special for doing content. Darkee's TR champ is an easy build to play, pretty cheap to gear, and can do all content (even aspirational, much less normal scourge). This is where I feel you and I disagree most. You think people complain because the league is harder. Its not, TR champ crushes content. But its more restrictive than ever. Your build, which you reference, does ... what, 150k boss dps? (I am not mocking you, honest question). So if you fought Sirus AL8, it would take... how long? This sacrifice for defenses is something you do not mind, but others do. Are they wrong in that they do not enjoy it? 4 - What tier maps are you doing? Do you find that the mods change by map tier? (not the map mods obviously, the scourge mods) 5 - There have been plenty of players who have done higher content than you that have not enjoyed scourged. If I post a link, will you suddenly agree that the criticism is valid? Thats what you are suggesting. 6 - The player base dropped more in two weeks than it did in a month of 3.14/3.15, would you like a link to objective data on that? |

I'll try to phrase this more gently so mods don't remove my post. This is a troll thread. Stop responding to someone that is trolling. Uncapped resists and 50K boss DPS. Refuses to listen to advice. Fights with everyone.
Just let this post die and stop engaging with someone clearly attempting to troll. |

" 1) The same way that 90% of League of Legends players, Overwatch players, any relevant game's players? I once was a Game Sage on a game called Shaiya, that was coming to the end of its popularity about the time PoE started hitting off. I had a pretty in depth relationship with the game's Gamemaster who staffed over all the other Game masters. Do you want to know what the general philosophy for a F2P's survival is? 5-10% of the community pays about 90% of the revenue. Any game model expresses a priority for those players, while acknowledging that over 70% of players never reach the end game of content, and will be replaced by turnover. They introduce teasers to attract some of the new players that replace the old to replenish that 5-10%. (Stash tabs, sales, must have MTX) People don't design games to satisfy the nonpaying players who don't accomplish base content. They design to augment the experience of those who do. (When is the last time GGG augmented the grinder experience? The Oriath Expansion. That's it. Where did people quit that League? Act 9 or 10. 2. No. You missed the boat. I can see their characters on these forums. If their characters in a window of 6-10 days from their initial complaint don't show much improvement, that actually tells you quite a lot, especially in a league where items with 5 in demand T1's are being sold under 20c. (Life/ES/Resists, etc) It's not about what they HAVE. It's about what they are wearing, how they are configing, and the fact they aren't improving. 3. But..... those vulnerable builds are what both you and I are responding to. A Divine Ire Spell Totem with ilevel 50-65 rares with T5-6 mods. A Cyclone 1 shot who has Glancing Blows A Necromancer without level 32 Spectres or any Block. I don't think we disagree. This league is enabling. But the people we respond to don't think it is, and are writing posts that might as well be an "I Quit" post pleading for help with what's wrong with their builds. (and then they argue with the help). I get that you want to cut and paste Toxic Rain as your help to these struggling players but that's also not what they want. They want to play THEIR builds. I've never told them to completely devote themselves to block; I've said get some. There's a difference between having a shield with 24% Block attack and having a shield, some augmented noding, and Tempest shield as Utility to get some Spell Block. Even 40/40 is a heck of a lot better than 24/0. (Even Kay's new summoner guides have Block built in and it really helps when she is near face tanking Minotaur; saves her life a few times) This isn't about my build. It's about me knowing how to not get 1 shot. My build can do more content than these guys are asking to do. 4. I'm not risking T15 Scourge 10 maps is that's what you're asking. I waste too much timer space if I do that just for currency. Most of the map mods for scourge will punish you if you do that. I'm doing about T7-T10 Scourge 4-6 depending on how hard the negative mods hit. I can handle 15k Lightning Damage on entering and exit, but I don't want 20k or 20k Chaos. 5) I know. I've seen a few. I also know that almost my entire end game friend base is still playing hard. Usually by now 2-3 have dropped out. I also don't see the pros really stopping playing. 6) There's a problem with just tracking attrition rates per league: Scourge started with about 35,000 more players on launch. In other words, a stock value of concurrent user drops being higher makes perfect sense; What matters is scale. Less % have left. |

" I'm hand-casting reap + exsanguinate with a weapon switch, which is really far from being meta. But in general, kind of - it's more that the ramped-up difficulty makes many build approaches unplayable; and the ones that are playable often have specific requirements on the type of player - I mean, I'm having a great time, but also have 421 deaths, which I know is something many people wouldn't be content with. |
