A long time player 16k hours asking GGG for a life line...

"
I'm looking for GGG to realize that there's such a thing as too much RNG... that "Multi axis RNG" actually has diminishing returns. and we hit those diminishing returns a long time ago and now more "axis" are just making the massive gulf between a normal player who actually has money to spend on games because he or she has a job, and the .001% (streamers and 10-14h a day fast clear speed meta players, aka sweaty's or no lifers) more and more ridiculous and extreme when its already a GALACTIC SIZED GULF.

"
So GGG beheaded that sucker because 600 or 1000 sweaty streamer/Quin69 wannabes Cried out about "printing too many mirror items and getting bored"...

"
The only people who did that, already have a problem... the couple hundred no lifers and couple hundred streamers who can choke down playing POE as a job because they're trying to make a living, or avoid dealing with reality.

Whoa, someones is pissed because others earn money with streaming. Pretty big portion of spite you have here.

"
Anyway here we are... I am playing more D2R than POE...

Probably a good choice. All your rambling about streamers pretty much shows this game is too complicated for you, if you can´t make something out of the first few days like many, many others that are not streaming.

A lot of hours though, counted 7 ssf chars over 90. Game might not be too complicated for him.

But one shouldn't go and take it out on streamers and/or nolifers (-> like me atm ;-)).

Frustration noted.

Did you try turning it off and on again?
Low-involvment gameplay and weak rewards, awful optimization and questionable servers (lag spikes, instance crashes) have made me quit the game for good quite some time ago, and I don't see these things changing because the developers only continue to double down on all of these problems.

Once your build is set, you just go through maps in brain afk mode, clearing screens of mobs, one-shotting bosses with no phases and phase switching bosses with phases in seconds, while geting oceans of trash loot. You are playing a cookie clicker, or rather a casino slot machine with colorful rainbows on the screen while you keep pressing the lever over and over, getting garbage over and over. And this combination of unimpactful gameplay (bar few boss encounters that are severely gated either by currency, map grinding or RNG) and unimpactful loot make the whole experience feel cheap and bland. Unlike some people who quit when they meet progression road blocks, I quit at the peak of my favorite character's power, after clearing all endgame available at that time (except one delve boss that just wouldn't spawn), because after many hours of grinding currency to finish the build and then facerolling endgame with it, I just looked back and thought: "wow, this was so lame and underwhelming."

And if you don't go fast and explode whole screens, then your rewards are even worse and progression slows down to a crawl, because the game is balanced around zoom clearing the maps as fast as possible.

There was a time I was really hyped for the game, hoping that the various issues I had with it would be fixed or adressed eventually, once the developers have enough resources and more manpower. However, I then realised that the things I thogut were "problems" to be fixed were either features to be doubled down upon or so irrelevant to the developers that they will never get the attention needed. Observing the game for some more time now I only see the same trends going in the same predictable directions, which is sad. I also have no expectations for PoE 2, since it's made on the same engine by the same people with the same endgame.

How do you not have a single level 100 character in 16k hours?

lol lvl 100, throw in some pure chayula breachstone or doing some 5-way rotas?

times, where u can brag with lvl 100, are way over.

btw he plays ssf. i bet u dont even know, how tedious it is to level to 100 only with maps.
I understand and share the same opinion as you. I already quit the league. The only thing we can do is to hope for better changes in the future? In the meantime I just play other games ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
Don't try to hold it, flow with it.

Even if I had played 16k hours (which I don't), I would probably not have a lvl 100 character, because leveling to 100 is just... way too boring? But go ahead with your ad hominem attacks, they seem to be easier than replying to the criticism.

ggg seems to be primarily treating the game as a business and not as game.
feels more and more like a job to play league than a fun experience i look forward to.

even if they reduced the atlas by a bunch of maps (which i liked), the support gem "balance" sure made progressing alot slower and the passive tree "balance" made sure all the power now comes from gear, which forces you into this bricked, old and barely enjoyable itemization system

Your comment on how Harvest allowed players to care for items that dropped got me thinking....why are they more interested in a scuffed trading system than a fun crafting system?

I personally thought Harvest took me out of the actual game too much, but that lessened as I got more used to the trips. So while the gardening aspect wasn't my favorite, I definitely prefer deterministic crafting over playing RNG-window-shopping on the trade website.

It's crazy that even trading in PoE is RNG, lol...I had to whisper 18 people to get my exalt traded for chaos today. it's easy to do, so I'm not complaining about the effort of whispering them, but moreso emphasizing how silly it is to stick with that trading system and NOT allow better crafting options.

Going to stop here before I delve into tangents.
