[3.18] CheapBunny Petrified Blood Low Life 6 Aura Double Strike Champion

Passives skill tree remain the same. Hydrosphere setup is removed, it is no longer useful for this build due to the hit cooldown change to hydrosphere. The build will be still doing fine, I never use the Hydrosphere setup anyway.

Introduction
I always wanted to play hybrid Armour/Evasion character, and Scourge league is a great time to do so (Armour and Evasion buff), so I make this build. As usual, you can check out the build thought section below to see my thought process making this build, enjoy =).

Why Champion?

Champion has great access to armour/evasion hybrid node.


Why Low Life?
Spoiler

Determination and Grace is buffed in 3.16, and I want to use both to get high armour/evasion, however both of them requires 50% mana reserved to cast.

So, I use

This shield allow me to cast aura by reserving life


Petrified Blood allow me to stay low life without sacrificing ehp.

With heavy investment into defense, how to get enough dps?

Dual wield sword/helmet

The increased physical damage taken downside is mostly mitigated as we have so much armour.

Since we are low life, we can use

Bloodthirst provide more damage compared to other support gem, especially for one-handed weapon.


With this belt, we can scale armour/evasion and damage at the same time.


"First to strike, Last to Fall" ascendancy node provide huge dps buff when reaching low life.


Trade evasion and accuracy into critical strike chance.

Levelling will be same as normal melee character, do not use petrified blood and do not turn into low life before you have obtained Abysus, Perseverance and Prism Guardian.

I use double strike with attack totem to level since act 1, early 4L setup is double strike + melee splash/ancestral call + melee physical damage/brutality/fortify + multistrike

Strongly suggest to use all offensive aura before you turn into low life, because one hander build usually has dps problem early game.

Dread Banner (10% Mana Reserve)
Increase enemy physical damage taken, provide slight dps boost.

Pride (50% Mana Reserve)
Increase enemy physical damage taken, provide huge dps boost

Flesh and Stone (Blood Stance) (25% Mana Reserve)
Increase enemy physical damage taken, provide dps boost again.

The increased physical damage taken mod roll is very important, you need to get one with 40%/41% increased physical damage taken.

Any double strike enchantment is good, but 15% to deal double damage is the best. However, if you are using Paradoxica, this enchantment will have no effect because paradoxica already has 100% chance to deal double damage, you should use other helmet enchantment,

(Use Abyssus only after you have Prism Guardian and Perseverance, and turned into low life. Before that, just use rare helmet with life and resis)

Ancestral Cry
Use after you pick up "Call to Arms" keystone. Put Ancestral Cry into your LMB after you pickup "Call to Arms" Keystone, it will auto cast when you move. You need to drop this skill after you turn "Call to Arms" into "Second Sight".

Corrupting Fever
Corrupting Fever cost 520 life to cast at level 20, use it to stay low life after using flask and proc "Andrenaline" buff.








Common Problem for Petrified Blood Low Life Build

Damage Over Time

Damage over time is greatest bane for this build because Petrified Blood does not prevent damage from damage over time, which means this build has half EHP against damage over time. To counter this, I use :

i) Pantheon Arakaali/Ralakesh

ii) Life Regen

It would be nice to get tribal fury and Call to Arms first, I branch to right side of tree last.
I have added Times Jewel Keystone "Second Sight" into the build, checkout the update log for updated section.

Thanks for the build, it’s amazing to use.

I don’t know why this particular build isn’t in the major list of PoE builds, only encountered this build while surfing the forums for unique duelist builds.
