Extremely long/Often infinite load screen - followed by unexpected disconnection
Just to confirm as others have, leaving guild worked for me. havent had a load screen issue since *touch wood*
havent tried making a new guild etc, so unsure if its just some for whatever reason | |
Can also confirm this has worked for me. Have created a new guild without hideout to test and this works.
No DC over about three hours of play at start of 3.17 league. Also tested it during the week for around 40ish instance loads with no DC. I have also previously tried all of the other listed fixes in the thread. - moving to different SSDs and reinstalls - IP config changes and static IP - switching server (AU to Singapore) - changing renderer (vulcan to directx and back) - Vsync - deleting cache - changing resolution - poe.exe command line arguments such as --waitforpreload, --nodx9ex, --noasync --nopreload - mtx removal I also tested loading into instances while in old guild with guild hideout set in the days prior to 3.17 and found that the disconnect was still a problem. So far leaving my guild (i dont know how to remove guild hideout) and starting a new guild without guild hideout set and/or just not being in a guild (so that also no guild hideout is set) is the only fix that has worked. If you do need to stay in guild with hideout set for whatever reason then my advice is to keep your logout macro ready and use it every time the DC occurs to minimise time spent waiting. Then just relog. You will have to do this multiple times but the downtime is significantly reduced. Last edited by glassesmcgee#4019 on Feb 4, 2022, 8:48:05 PM

I am not in a guild and still getting those infinite loading screens eventually defaulting to the POE main login screen as if a disconnect happened.
I have tried to change servers as one post suggested but it is still happening. Reverted all settings to default and PC is WAY over specced for POE. No love so far :( **Update** I got a VPN and the problem disappeared for me. So the problem could exist between GGG servers and your ISP. At least in my case I think it did. I hope it helps some of you. GGHF Last edited by SNoopo007#4617 on Feb 18, 2022, 10:30:44 AM

I have this for 3 leagues now, thought it was my admittedly weathered hardware (GTX 750 Ti), although I had no issues running PoE until then.
I noticed that 1-2 instances before the infinite loading screen hits, the VRAM stops refreshing when I change maps. During the infinite loading screen, I can hear the map sounds behind it, like the game already loaded, but the screen remains until I Alt-F4 it. If I hit F1 at that point, I can see the "Drive" bar of the diagnostics inactive, while the "Shader" gives some pulses from time to time. Leaving my guild to test it is not an option for me at this point, I have a ton of content bought there and I'd rather stop playing than throw that down the drain. What's worse though is GGG's silence on this matter. A quick Google search showed that people had this issue from 2018, and there was no official reply anywhere, even a "we'll look into it". |
