Is it worth 75% spell dodge and 50/50 blocks?

last i looked spell block rarity gets used because not many mobs use spells, its the physical damage that is 98% of mobs on the game other 2% is spell which usually is avoidable .

Spell block, and now also spell suppression, were always mostly bossing tools, giving you a chance to survive even if you screwed up.

Which is a good thing, people need a way to learn the steps with bosses.
Thanks to all you lovely people.
To paraphrase:
dodge+armour+blocks (The original build)
- Yes SRS suck and it's the wrong part of the tree (but I like not targeting anything, and I like trying weird SRS builds)
- Lots of easy to reach nodes
- High Armour (seems to make lab runs less painful than high DPS or high evade)
- super cheap items
- High cast speed (oddly satisfying)
- fast movespeed
- off meta
- Good vs physical damage
- DPS too low
- No defence vs DoT, poor regen
- Inefficient combination of defences (mixing damage avoidance types, damage mitigation via spell suppression would be better)
- Expect to avoid about 88% of spell hits but get oneshot 12% of the time

Based on suggestions so far, it is actually really easy to change tact - It only costs 3 regret orbs: remove 3 points in acrobatics, versatile defence and Iron reflexes.

Now you get 100% suppression, 70% evade, 5K armour, 20% spell dodge
- you'll avoid about 92% of attacks, but will get hit by 8 out of 10 spells, and they'll only do half damage.

My suggestion, you don't need Magebane, or any of that up there. Slide up the right side there, grab Ghost Dance, which is like 10x more viable with Spell Dodge instead of Spell Suppression, grab the life node there (Constitution is noob trap now unless you take whole life area), and there are slightly more caster-oriented nodes available there. I'd get rid of Iron Reflexes, your Armour isn't terrible without, and you could even skimp a little more in areas and manage another Cluster.

Ghost Dance is useless on life build.
Spell dodge and Spell Suppression are two different mechanics (avoidance vs damage mitigation).

OP you will need some recovery mechanic.
Regen and/or Life on block
I would also aim for 100% elemental ailment avoidance (easy with Raider, Thick skin cluster and items or Crystal skin cluster).

75 block + 40-50% spell block (new tempest sheld, suffix on shield, ..) with life on block on shield is also an option in combination with decent physical mitigation and some regen eventually.

You should have some distraction using SrS.

Doesn't take much ES to use Ghost Dance. Simply pathing up there with his current stats gave 650+, and I stuck in a cluster for good measure. Given his Evade, Ghost Dance would be able to heal only about 1k ES... So he's basically there.

Some life and resistances were lost, but either that can be made up in gear, or a little can be taken off of the cluster to do so. That's 19 points he can find something to do with, if needed.

Elemental Avoidance is basically pointless with 50% of both Block, 75% Spell Dodge, and around 75% Evade. If this was Hardcore, maybe, but if it isn't Ailment Immunity, might as well forget about it. Softcore, this shouldn't be an issue.

Here's more toward what I was looking at:

It´s easy to reach 100% avoidance ("imunity") to shock, chill/freeze, ignite and other elemental ailments on Raider which is always nice.
Dodge/Evasion can´t help you with on ground effects which can also apply ailments (shock ground, chill ground, ...).
