Versatile Combatant keystone.

After reviewing the 3.16 tree to me it would make more sense if the keystone Versatile Combatant went like this:

Your maximum chance to block spell damage is equal to your maximum chance to block attack damage
-25% to maximum chance to block attack damage
2% chance to block spell damage for each 1% Overcapped Chance to block attack damage.

This change wont affect any of other ascendancies but gladiator.

And this change would allow gladiator mastery Reigning Veteran (which is a t2 mastery) to be meaningful.

It would allow gladiator with investment to be 60/60% block which is a huge nerf of what it already had but not as bad as 60/50 if you pick the keystone or 85/0 if you dont.

Any thoughts?

Made a similar inquiry in another thread, the nerf is quite heavy for shield builds besides spectral throw, feel like they may have just killed them since I doubt they will be viable for endgame or even lategame

You can still hit even higher attack block and roughly 71% spell block pretty easily, just ignore versatile combatant and go with clusters.

Craft it yourself 0.o it's not difficult. You can fossil craft shields like that very easily.

there is a essence for high spell block as well not sure what the new value of it is though

It's a build I will never play again.
net loss of 12% Spell Block, any loss is nerf
