Aura bot vs Aura stacker

Do people actually have a problem with aura bots or are most people confusing aura bots with aura stackers?
Aura bot: Support that buffs the party and isn't that powerful on their own Aura stacker: someone stacking auras to buff them selves and can solo most things

If you think a community that plays together and has an aura bot is getting all this good loot because they have an aura bot and you are playing solo.... the problem is you are playing solo.

Agreed on the Auras, however...
...with regards to loot -- if you clear maps solo as fast as you clear in a pickup group of 6, your share of loot is far greater solo. If you have a MF character in an organized group, its top dog -- there's no comparison to solo (even if solo is specced to MF) the group loot is crazy nuts. Having said that I skipped this league and am quickly sketching out a duo in these final days in anticipation of aura nerfs. I think people are not happy they see their favourite archetypes nerfed hard to reign in power creep and then see people in starter gear having The Feared on farm in day 2 because an aurabot made the whole thing trivial.

Granted the buff to lppt per member of the party is 50%, as someone mentioned previously, with jaste and damage auras, your clear speed increases.
So 1 map in 5 minutes @ 100% Vs 5 maps in 5 minutes @ 150% Numbers are arbitrary examples but close KenMan

Oh, so people think their builds are getting nerfed to counter people playing that build with an aura bot?
The only time I have ever heard GGG mention aura bots is in response to community outrage... I don't think they are nerfing builds to counter being in a party with an aura bot. they STILL think harvest is too powerful... and it has nothing to do with aura bots for example. I think the core issue is GGG doesn't understand how to do core balancing We can't solve problems we can't talk about...

Another thread that really comes down to trade. Removing trade removes any gripes about how much advantage another player has for playing differently than you.

people have problems with aura bots because it more than doubles the dps for anyone within the same screen. for duo parties this is strong but it gets obvious how stupid aura bots scale when you have multiple dps in your party and they all have the damage multiplier buffs
