Frame rate issues?
I've noticed a lot of "stutter" and fps drops since the game went Open Beta, I didn't really have this problem in closed beta. I wonder what it could be.

I play on a laptop that should be able to handle this game with ease, and still encounter horrid FPS (especially in groups)
To try and troubleshoot this I turned everything low/off except the resolution which I kept at 1600X900. It did not help in the least bit. All GPU drivers etc are up to date. Any suggestions would be appreciated... Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.7GHz Memory: 12288MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 11 Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 HD: 256 Crucial M4 SSD |

If you accidentally open 2 clients it will lag you to all shit.
I know it sounds stupid but its actually not easy to notice. |

I could see that happening once or maybe even twice, but this is consistently bad. I will however, check that when I login after work in task manager just to make sure.

I can usually play at a stable 60fps with max shadows, AA at 2, AF maxed, 1360*768... until I decide to join a party with a couple of rangers/witches and their multiple projectile/fork/chain/clusterfuck abilities. Then the frame rate starts jumping from 60 to 0 and then back to 60 incessantly.
... I meant the ducks.

" That pretty much sums it up for me as well. |

For people who are experiencing brief frame rate dips, you might try turning off Vertical Sync.
Usually, even with every graphics setting maxed out, my frames were smooth like butter. Occasionally, though, they would drop way down for about 1 second, and then go back up. Turning off Vertical Sync fixed the issue for me. I haven't stuttered at all since then. |
