Frame rate issues?
Configuration:
nvidia GeForce GT 540M, 1GB graphics card Intel core i3 4gb RAM My FPS fluctuates between 5-20fps, making the game almost unplayable in large encounters. I'm not totally sure what's going wrong. Using fullscreen. |

You did not mention what graphic options or
screen rez you are running. Might be useful information .... Did you go into options and turn down the few graphics options they have to minimums? Like shadows off or such, anistropic off ,etc.. Failing that, try running at a lower screen rez.. I suppose in time they could add some features to that option panel for people using lesser grpahics systems to tweek. Maybe a lower rez pack or something. http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html from what I see there that card is middling power wise on a gaming laptop curve with current tech. I note that it performs well with some games and downright bad in other games. Just goes to show why general benchmarks fail to show the tale, one always benches to what one plans to run. This is just one of those 'bad game's for that card I suppose. Good luck and try tweaking things down. | |

Radeon HD5670, AMD FX-4100 3.6G Ghz quadcore, 4gb RAM @ 1600.
1440*900, vsync off, shadow max, AA @ 1, filter @ 4x, PP on, shake on. It's stable around 70-110 (depends on the zone) with 0.5 second drops to 10-20 fps around monster encounters. Changing the settings doesn't prevent the stutters. |

I have a GeForce 555M which is a really powerful graphics card. my problem is that i run the game at 15-20 fps. It is really annoying and changing settings makes no difference. at this point the game is almost unplayable and I was really looking forward to playing it since I got the early access and all. Does anyone know what I can do ?

Has to be a setting. I'm running a C2D 2.13ghz (~6 years old) with 2 gigs of ram and a GF 9800 GTX+.
This is one of the few modern games where it actually runs extremely well. I'm getting 50-60 FPS in most zones. I even partied in late A3 once with 6 people and with stuff flying everywhere it remained quite smooth. I have shadows off, AA set to trilinear filtering, textures on medium and I'm playing at 1360x766 res. There was only 1 zone my FPS noticeably dropped to a level that's a poor playing experience. It was some multi-level indoor area. I forgot the zone name but it had a rocky dungeon theme to it. |
