Too much stress losing 10% EXP per death

I actually like GGG made "hard" POE.
However, due to too much death penalty(10% EXP loss per death), I am asking to myself "Why are you playing POE? What's for?" I played about 8 hrs and got 60% of EXP then, lost 60% of EXP in few mins. WTH? Does GGG really think the users are enjoying this? I have a suggestion to GGG that creating NPC who deals 1 chaos orb fee for a restoration 1% EXP. Currently I am getting lots of stress rather than enjoying POE. Last bumped on Aug 10, 2021, 7:18:50 PM

just stop when u feel comfort or hard wall of exp/lvl and run content u could

I hate the death penalty I think its a quick fix to try to delay progression that is easy to implement. I used to tolerate it because this was the best game on the market. However this combined with the last 2 patches, has switched me from playing Path of Exile to Path of Forums. At least I can't lose experience playing the forums.

OMG he lost 10% on death. WOW! Ahaha. It's literally NOTHING! You ignore defence mechanics - you pay for that. It's pretty clear and fair.

" I'm fine with the exp penalty for deaths, but you're full of crap. It's WAY WAY WAY more to do with juicing up the difficulty of content than with defence. Everyone brags about HC players, but they straight up ignore difficult content and dangerous modifiers. Almost everyone hits a wall at 90 because you have no choice but to do t14 to 16 maps to progress the atlas. When you're running at that level of content you'll be much more likely to die. |

He said he lost 60% exp on 6 deaths, not 10% on one. Read and think instead of whatever disengenuous screwbrain logic a whackabrain is currently doing in the noggin.

i personaly got very used to the deathpenalty and i personaly start dont giving a flying f at lvl 95, that a level very achievable by pretty much everyone if you run just t10-13 with just an alch and dodging map mods like reflect no regen and vulnerability.
however, just because i got used to loseing 10% dosnt mean its fair at all, to some players 10% could be litteraly 2-3 hours of work, depending on where you are at and what you are doing ofcourse, and we all know very well tho no matter how good your defences are you can get oneshot by the most ridicilous attacks ( just watch some of zizaran rip clips) personaly i think it would be refreshing even if it is just for one league if the penalty gets reduced to 0%, 2.5% and 5% per death and see how it will affect the community over the course of one league. they are testing theyre poe 2 stuff in current game anyway so no harm there |
