Where is the loot?

Isn't the thing to do with a game like this to level until it's redundant (aka: boring), then dream up a new build and begin again? Or have a bunch going at the same time?

I never get anything above 50 because I keep restarting with different ideas. Guess it's weird to do that? lol

Maybe just have a break for a while & recharge, OP. This game is ever evolving, so new challenges are upcoming!

I feel you man, I'm on my 8th character, because every time I come to work I end up on that damn passive skill tree on the main page and end up conjouring some insane build that I want to try...lol

Most of them are fun builds but I never seem to be dedicated enough to level them past maps. Perhaps the character I'm building now will be different...lol

Current Characters:
Aurakul - Lvl 72 Marauder
FulminationOfTheHeavens - Lvl 72 Witch
UndeadPartyBus - Lvl 64 Witch
CoruscationOfTheHeavens - Lvl 60 Shadow
AmalgamateDecimation - Lvl 55 Marauder
Tankapotamus - Lvl 51 Marauder
TenebrosiFratrum - Lvl 25 Shadow

and my current character I'm lvling now:

Miasmannihilation - Lvl 43 Shadow

I've found plenty of currency honestly from creating new characters. Not a whole bunch, but I've been through high quality gems left and right, by constantly trading. Traded high end gear for exalteds to gear my latest characters... I might not have the most but a lot of my assets/wealth are in gear and gems.

I've only found 4 exalted orbs since I've been playing.

Spoiler

Those items are probably the main of my wealth. Mostly just high lvl quality gems. I also pre-buy my gear, half that stuff I can't even use yet, or I used on other characters.

Another trick I use to save money, is Buy a poorly rolled Unique item, and divine it up.

The Heartbreaker, I bought for 1.5 exalted because the guy knew he had a bad roll on it. It was initially 41% spell damage and 41 mana and I used 1 Divine on it and rolled it to 48% and 44 mana. Which I'm personally happy with.

If I wanted to sell it, I could get my money back I feel.

Also the Geofri's Helm had really low stats on it when I bought it, cost me 1 exalted. had 60% armor, and pretty much all low resistances. I used 1 divine and got it to what it is now.

The Maligaro's I bought for 4 GCP. Had 41% crit chance on it and 61% evasion if I recall. Used 1 divine on it, and now its almost perfect. Value went up quite a bit.

Plenty of ways to get loot from trading if you're persistant and patient to finding the right seller, all of which I earned from currency that has dropped from me and I traded for other currency that people prefer.

I can tell you now I am really cheap and value my drops/orbs that I get because I AM a casual player, I work 40+ hours a week. So I try and find the best deals for my time.

drop rates are fine just how they are. this game doesn't reward every noob in the game with the godliest gear possible with the least amount of effort. it makes the item hunt that much more thrilling. GGG is giving you new updates pretty much on a weekly basis, you didn't pay a dime for the game nor do you ever have to to play it. sorry OP but you really are coming across carrying that entitlement attitude and if you really are not enjoying the game currently then maybe it's time for a break.

Funny I don't see where he stated he was entitled to anything. Using worn out meme's is getting rather tired don't you think? I have so many /played hours in this game it would probably shock most of you and I can say that the drop rates for GCP's/Chaos/Divine/Regal and what could be deemed an "ok" upgrade for my characters is abysmal. I dont look for godly gear nor do I expect it but I do expect to see an upgrade here and there for the amount of time invested and I am frankly tired of having to share only "decent" loot between my characters just because I cant find a stand alone upgrade for each one.

Just like in life I expect to see a return for time put into something. I don't expect to get rich over night but I sure as hell expect some profit for my time/effort.

I don't really grind that much so you don't have to.The key to getting items without the grind is to just build another character. Also the more characters you have the more frequent you get upgrades.

Thats what I did in beta and seemed to produce better results. However for myself in OB not so much. I have characters ranging from 79/76/73/71/62/62/61 and multiple 40's and the trend has been the same throughout regardless of IIR/IIQ stacking. Just below par drops and horrible currency drops.

RNG will be RNG. I have one character that is newly minted in Cruel, and only level 42, yet because of my lowbie farming method, I'm worth nearly 18-20 exalted in terms of currency.

This is after expenses for gearing my dual totem soon to be main witch.

If the RNG sucks, find a way around the RNG.

I can offer only this much.

Hell, I even found my 5th self found exalted a couple of days back on Cruel hailrake. Sometimes though, I can farm whole days and go without so much as an alchemy orb dropping during lowbie farming.

God, this generation is filled with self entitled whiners. You are playing an excellent free game with no strings attached, and you're complaining about your crappy drop luck? You think you deserve to get good items for minimal effort?

The op has more hours played on one of his chars than you do on your entire account....literally. The only one putting in minimal effort is you. Why do ultra casuals like yourself always tell die-hard players that they want something for free. The die-hards just want compensation for their time. You probably find an upgrade every time you login, so you don't understand.

I, for myself, had an outrageous 450%+ Rarity and 80%+ quantity , now clocking a "minmal effort" of 145 hours of play just in the past 2 weeks, and what did i get?
Spoiler
so yeah, I think I am entitled to better drops.

I think you're "entitled" to press Login or Logout. That's about it really.
